About this film:
- A nuclear bomb is detonated in Los Angeles, and the nation devolves into unprecedented chaos. Ex-Green Beret Jeff Eriksson and his family escape to The Homestead, an eccentric prepper's fortress nestled in the mountains. As violent threats and apocalyptic conditions creep toward their borders, the residents of The Homestead are left to wonder: how long can a group of people resist both the dangers of human nature and the bloodshed at their doorstep?

Are they trying to say they'll come after me if I don't show up? Send me to collections?

That being said there were several moments that the action was intense and extremely well-done. Moderate to good acting from the main characters, and had no idea what was going to happen next in key plot moments.
I liked Civil War because I was expecting it to be very partisan and cliche but was surprised by how well it showed how both sides lose when we turn on each other. I was hoping this movie would be similar, showing the darker implications of prepping and how nobody really "survives" the same as they are going into a major disruptive event. I think this movie almost delivered on a refreshing twist to the genre and did bring up some good ideas.
TL;DR Depends on your tastes but I think it was worth watching for a moderate quality movie. "Wasn't terrible but not great".
Thanks
The many comments above yours gave plenty of reasons for "why not".
