Just dropped to $120, too late though, already ported out
If RP would have rolled this deal out earlier, I would have stayed with them. But it is now too late for me (been with RP since April 2022). And Infimobile has been working great, so I hope I do not have to switch for at least the next 12 months.
Yeah, thanks, I knew that about buying from ebay. That's where I typically buy. This 10gb deal is what I'd prefer to get, but without knowing if I can use it as an existing customer, I'll skip it for now. Maybe other good deals will pop up on the RP plans before needed.

Is that just for new users, or renewals? I'm scanning through and can't see that info yet.
Also, if you've already got an RP account, do you know if they send you a code you can use later, or if it automatically applies to your account? My husband's plan renews in March, and if it's a code when you order direct from RP, I can get it now. If it applied to his account automatically, I suspect he'd lose the last 3 months of his current 5gb plan.
They've fixed it for renewals now. You have the option of when to apply, immediately or end of current plan.

If you renew online via your account you have the option of starting the new plan at the end of your current plan. But the discounts are [usually] for new customers only. If you buy from their ebay store you have 90 days to use the code.
I just looked into renewal online. Didn't see a way to do it attached to a specific plan (I have 3 lines on my account for various family). When I click the $160 plan, I get the option of "set me up online (esim)" or "ship me a sim." Which is the one I should pick for a renwal?
Then when it's in the cart, there's a link that says "checkout." Will I get the chance to tell it which phone line this is for and to start at the end of current plan when I click on checkout, is it just going to auto charge my card on the account? Thx!

Make sure you FIRST select the specific line you want to renew.
The path should be: My Lines (choose your number), View Details/Pay, Plans (Yearly Plans), Buy Now
That's as far as I went as I'm not renewing via web.

Thanks for the instructions, got it done and it will auto-apply in March!
It set itself to autorenew, which I guess I should leave on for now just to make sure disabling won't mean it doesn't apply this renewal. Need to set a reminder to go in and turn that off the new plan activates.

Just a word of warning--four times in the last two months (2x times on two different lines), I have purchased an airtime plan on the RP website and stacked it on my existing plan so it should automatically be enabled when the existing plan expires. But in all 4x cases, automatic activation of the new queued plan did NOT occur, and it required a chat with RP CS agents to fix it. The problem is that they then make you jump through hoops citing even the order number of your purchase to fix this problem--a problem that they created by not automatically activating the new plan that is in queue and that you have already paid for.
After this happened the first time and one of the lines was left dead with no service, I asked the RP CS agent and they said it was a hiccup and would never happen again. Then it happened 3x more times up to now. At least I now know what to expect, but it is just annoying to have to waste time on something that should be automatic.

Dang, thanks for the heads up. I already had an email reminder set to check, after it renews, my own checklist of things that have gone wrong when I renew a plan. Like it won't reflect the amount of data it's supposed to, or the phone won't make or receive calls, or give notification of voicemails. So I've added your issue to my list to check for.
Does it affect my phone number in any way if they don't renew the plan and it looks like I've let it lapse briefly because they didn't renew? I will check the day of, but if they don't renew there will be a period with no paid plan in place, I assume. I'm always afraid of losing my or my husband's phone numbers due to a lapse or change, and every important thing in your life these days seems to require text verification to your phone, and losing a number somehow could create problems.

In my case, it has not affected my phone numbers. It's clear as day--the plan is sitting there in queue and supposed be activated on day X. The phone still works at this time, then on day X+1, the service stops, but when you look at your account on their website, you still see the message that the new plan should start on day X (even though you are already a day later).
I chatted the the CS agents quite a bit after the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th times asking why such a simple problem was occurring, and by the last call, they said they would escalate it to make sure it is fixed permanently. Here's to hoping it is fixed soon--it's just a waste of everybody's time!

Same, my old renewal date was actually pretty close to when this price dropped, but since this plan didn't drop for Black Friday, I thought there weren't going to be any deals for the rest of the year and hurried to port out early before other companies' sales ended
