Here's another trick I used to save a few bucks on taxes: Go ahead and update your profile to a state that doesn't collect taxes (like Delaware or Oregon). Then, update your preferred theater to that city. When you renew or upgrade your membership, you won't see any tax. You can pay with your regular credit card, and you won't have to worry about the tax being added to your subscription! I hope this helps someone out there!

Seems to be the case with me as well. After checkout it said 2026. But on my amc profile, says 2027

Tried this just now and it's still working. My account was about to run out anyway, so even if it's only 1 year it'll still be a win for me by locking in the current price before the hike. Still, I screenshotted the 2027 date on my account page in case they try to revert it.

It just worked for me. My membership wasn't active so I hit the upgrade button and it gave me 1 year but I went out back into the app and it's showing 2 years so it seems to still be working.

I do this as well for my cellphone carrier. You would still get charged taxes but a lower amount.

Yes, but it renewed the membership anyway so the pending charge will be processed soon I'm sure.

Question: my membership renewed from May 2025 to June 2027. Does canceling membership (autorenewal) extend it by a year to 2028?

Just purchased/ upgraded to premiere. Paid $15 and initially it showed 1/26 as next billing date but after restarting app it says 1/27

It seems like a glitch, but may be it's just their marketing gimmick. I believe they had $5 reward given out for the last year or so and a year before that, they offered it for $7.50/yr. Pretty much 50% off has been their normal price..

Keeping getting "Sorry, an error has occurred. Please try again" on the mobile app. Tried 3x w/ the same error; however I see 3 pending transactions on my CC. Waited an hour but don't see the renewed date.

Anyone getting any luck renewing through the website with 2 yrs extension?

Worked for me on mobile app few mins back. Guessing that they might be updating something on the back to get rid of the glitch

Worked for me on mobile app as well. It asks you to renew for only 1 year, but when you check your next renewal date it's really 2 years.
