I got an open box excellent shipped w/tax for $716.

EDIT: Why the downvote? This is a solid deal.

https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/...9_Spec.pdf

PSRef says it will run the 4060 at 115w with a 230w adapter and 105w with a 170w adapter.

This review is for a slightly different model, but mostly the same specs.

Same here. Got an open box at 700 in excellent condition. So far I do love the performance. I did some research and the only reason some people don't like it is due to the CPU chip, it doesn't have an internal GPU and thus you're just using the GPU (4060) that causes you to use more battery. To me, it's not a huge deal.

Trying a open box - excellent for $686.99, as well. Thanks!

Probably no real interest as this is an older CPU - Zen3+, a slower version of the 6800H, and of course the mentioned lack of IGP. The 6-core 7640HS is nearly as fast as the 8-core 6800H/7435HS in multi-core, and a bit faster in single, where most workloads run. $800 got you the 7640HS/4060 Legion laptops new at bestbuy a year ago.

Being an older model, especially with the Zen3 CPU, these should be a lower price than this by now.

True, but my old 5800H Legion Pro was perfectly fine in most things. For gaming (what this is intended for) it's gonna bottleneck at the GPU long before the CPU

Systems far older than that are also fine for most things. It doesn't mean that this isn't an older product that seems a bit overpriced today. It's a igp-less lower clocked version of a 2023 rebadge of an early 2022 CPU. The GPU is a year younger, but it's also on its way to being replaced.

These machines usually fall in the $800-1000 price range, with others on zen4 and the same 4060 also sitting in the same range. Makes these 7435HS seem a bit overpriced with only a $800 "sale." Hence the low interest in the thread. Of course sales come and go every few weeks or month, so there may not be anything to compare directly at this exact moment in time, but give it a week or two, and I'd expect far better systems in this price range, as is typical in January.

Can't argue with that. However for me, I wanted something inexpensive but decent, and the LOQ Zen4's don't seem to hit this price regularly. I had been using a ROG Ally X but I'm selling it, so even though it's a Zen4 CPU and the LOQ is a Zen3+, it will still be a big bump from IGP to the 4060. I don't care about battery myself, since this will always be plugged in.
