512gb has been $417 with $50 for some while $440+ for most people before BF and lasted at least several weeks. Don't recommend at this price as the new model is right at the corner

True but the new model will cost almost double the price for just a merely 20% improvement.

how was the driver updates? does it improves performance?
Windows 11 Pro pretty much took care of everything. Three only thing I had to update was LegionSpace. This thing is excellent!... And beautiful!

People have been using Gameboys since the 90s, and the latest round of handhelds (steam deck, Ally, legion go) have been very popular
The game is 1/3 the size of this thing.
The switch is half as big

Got mine for $560 out the door open box excellent. It was brand new, power supply unopened and still with stickers on the unit. This thing is epic, running forza horizon 5 on medium settings @ 900p locked at 60FPS and only using 70% of the GPU. This thing is beast!

Thanks OP, pulled the trigger and went open box excellent.
Best accessories for this? Also, any upgrades to hw worth mentioning?
Also, thinking of installing bazzite os.. Just wondering if I should dual boot with windows or go 100% bazzite. Anyone have any experience and thoughts in these areas?

Beginner question :

Is this a proprietary device like Switch with its own games to purchase ?

or is this like a Android tablet that can run Android games and emulators and all ?
As others have said… it's a windows 11 device. That's cool and all for compatibility, but Windows 11 isn't optimized for handhelds at all, and it has all the usual Windows downsides. What a lot of people do is install the free Bazzite operating system to replace windows; that makes the interface much more like a Steam Deck and much more handheld friendly: you can tap the power button to suspend a game and instantly sleep/resume a game, the main screen is a menu of all your games (much more "console" like and quicker to use), and performance is a bit better with less overhead, less interruptions.

I would get the Linus Tech Tips thumbstick covers. You can get any case you want, but I like the TomToc one with the removable padding that protects thumbsticks and screen. Anything beyond that is optional…

I picked up Viture One XR Glasses, but those are best if you don't have astigmatism (or are willing to buy prescription glasses to fix astigmatism… I work in an eyeglass lab, and I'm making my own corrective lenses this week). If you see a reviewer complain about blurry corners, that's due to their eye's astigmatism.

I personally have a Steam Deck. I liked customizing it with a Dbrands skin… it's kind of a vanity, but it's cheap and makes it feel more "mine" and "fun!" I don't know if the Legion Go has DBrand skins, but it probably does. And as a Steam Deck User, I would recommend Bazzite over Windows… very rarely will games not be compatible, but the vast majority of the time you'll have a cleaner, quicker user interface that feels more like an extension of your mind than an annoyance you have to dig through, suspend/resume from sleep features which are excellent. I'm glad the Lenovo at least has one trackpad, it's surprisingly useful, and the Steam Deck's back buttons are really helping my hands not feel cramped (or at least compensate for games that need more buttons than a normal controller).

Think that is for the 512gb model. Don't see 1tb listed on Amazon (US)

I wanted this at this price for a while, but I'm going to wait for gen 2 at this point.

See what upgrade it comes with.

I got the Asus equivalent (rog ally) this past month and it is awesome. Looks like this one is even more powerful and has detachable controllers.

I actually been streaming a lot of PS5 games on it vs playing steam games, so that's a good use case if one is interested. Also these are excellent for emulations which I'm excited to to keep with soon.

For me it's not performance it's battery life. The next flagship Legion needs 80Wh minimum (Ally X and both MSI Claw have 80Wh) and more efficient cores. If that comes with 20% increase in performance, then a 800-900 dollar price tag is justified. 1100 dollars for the new Legion would be DOA.
I bring a 20k mah 100w pd power block with me and I can play AAA titles for hours away from an outlet. 2d games I get well over 2 hours on the internal battery.
