No. Eneloop in the US is only from Japan.

This 10 pack AAA eneloop seems to be a new SKU and all of the reviews written this year seem to confirm they're still made in Japan so I'm going to take a gamble.

Edit: Received mine and they're indeed made in Japan.

Ikea comes out to $1.87 each vs. $1.94 on this deal (or less with S&S). But Ikea's is only 750mah vs. this at 850mah.

Meh, ikea is not for me and Microcenter only has good prices on a few things.
I live 10 minutes away from an IKEA, but a 10 hour drive to the next Microcenter. I like IKEA, but would rather have the latter...

Does IkEA make those AAA 900 mAh cells anymore? I was able to get 2 packs a long while ago. I went back to check after a few months but they only had the 750s.

Plug them away from normal living areas seems like a logical solution? Or where there is already white noise around like behind an air filter or tv?

So what do you use instead? Are there rechargeable batteries that work at 1.5V?
For devices that don't work with Ni-MH batteries, there are now rechargeable lithium ion batteries in AA and AAA sizes. The lithium ion batteries provide the full 1.5V. Nowadays, I try using a Ni-MH battery first, and then try a rechargeable lithium ion battery if the Ni-MH battery doesn't make the device work.

I had the original ones by Sanyo. Then I needed more and so I got them and they were nowhere near the same as my 4yrs of old and heavily used Sanyo ones. I later realized the new ones were by Panasonic. I don't know about Japan and China, but I would look at recent reviews and not the reputation ones. Last I checked the Duracell rechargeable ones and eneloop PRO models were better. IKEA was also good to iirc
Just checked my old Sanyo AA and it says min. 1900mAh. The set didn't come with enough AAAs so I'm tempted to get this.

Did I hear right that the Eneloops of recent years are nicely packaged Chinese cells, not the high quality Japanese ones the reputation was built on? Last I saw, the Ikea cells were made in Japan. Been pretty happy with the ones from Ikea, but admittedly, I don't run them as hard as some.
I've bought several packs (one last year and one this year and another several years ago) and they're still made in japan (at least the ones sold in USA are).

Also, aren't the Laddas equivalent to the Panasonic Eneloop Pros (the ones with the black label)?
Does that mean they have higher capacity but less charge cycles?

BTW this is has been around this price for a while, maybe not posted but you can see it doesn't say lowest in 30 days or anything.

Can't speak to the other brand, but eneloop pro do have more capacity, but they don't stay charged as long as the standard. I bought some AA pros for flashlights, but not using the flashlight for a few months, I would find the batteries dead. Regular don't drain nearly as fast just sitting, so would only use the pro if you're using a high-drain device soon after charging, and don't recharge until right before needed again.
Since the eneloop pros can't be cycled as many times, the extra capacity isn't always beneficial if you can't store them very long charged.

Thanks that's what I was thinking. I will probably look at the Ikea or say the Watson that people have posted from B&H photo if not a regular Eneloop.

What makes these better than the amazon basic 2400mAH that are less than have this price?
Has anyone ever really used the same rechargeable battery for 10 years?

I've had a Maha / Powerex MH-C204FA for at least 20 years, it does take up to 4 hrs to recharge since it has a fixed speed, and have to charge in pairs, but it's a gentle smart charger and has kept my earliest Sanyo Eneloops going strong for just as long.

I had another smart charger that was versatile, allowed to charge singles, had a capacity tester function, and adjustable charge speed, but after many years of use, started to behave erratically, cooked a set of Eneloops once til the outer white labels bubbled (though amazingly they still work OK), so I stopped using that one out of caution....

those are made in china (unless you have the vintage ones).

Which is great, if you're near one of these so-called "IKEAS".

I looked them up, and the nearest one is over 3.5 hours away. I'm not traveling SEVEN HOURS + fuel + dealing with nonsense in-store just to save seven cents per battery.
Forget seven good traveling there. What about the three hours finding your way to the batteries?

But great for us that live 10 minutes from one. Microcenter is 5 minutes.
