Agent:

Hi Thomas, nice to meet you.
I checked your account and you were under our
SAVE10 promotion where you get $10 off for 5 years and you are on our $45 premium plan already.

Thomas:
That is correct. The SAVE15 promo brings it down to $30. I was hoping you could apply that or else l'll just downgrade to the basic plan and then upgrade using that promo. But wanted to just avoid having to do that

Agent:
Upon checking your request that you will step down and ask if we can add the SAVE15 promotion to get $15 off for 25 months, unfortunately upon reading the terms and condition for the SAVE15 promotion, it states that : agents will not be able to apply the SAVE15 promotion if the member is already on the $45 premium plan and request to step down and wanted to add the SAVE15 promotion to their account.

I deeply apologize but we can not add the SAVE15 promotion after you step down and upgrade back to the $45 premium plan. I advise you not to step down because when you step down, you will loose the SAVE10 promotion that were applied to your account

Here is another way to save some extra money: if you have some (older) unlocked phones or or eSIM slots in active phones available you can create and activate new accounts for other people in your household. You'll get a $20 credit per referral in the referring account and the new account gets a $20 discount off the first month. Choose the $25 plan without any other promo codes (since they can't be combined with the referral credit). Once the new account is active turn off autopay and close the account before the first month is over (or just don't pay which suspends service and eventually cancels it). You'll essentially pay $5 for the $20 credit on your permanent account. You can use one referral credit per month so your already discounted $30 plan comes down to $10 as long as you have referral credits banked (you can bank up to 12). I recently did this with my son's account (who recently signed up for the promo $30 plan for 25 months. I also had statement credit offers on 3 Citi cards that were worth $25 each for any purchase from visible. The $5 first month payment for the throw away accounts triggered the credits so I made another $60 along with the 3x$20 referral credits my son received.

Same. Chatting now to get it corrected. Of course the agent has to message some other department. I even doubled checked the link for next billing statement before checking out to confirm the SAVE15 discount.
I did chat with agent and confirmed Save15 is applied. Was told it will reflect in the next bill. I have my transcript saved.

Sorry for a probably dumb question, but what does it even mean? "Unlimited premium data on Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband network, our fastest 5G BUT 50 GB/mo of premium data on Verizon's 5G & 4G LTE networks" So I'm a bit confused. They're offering unlimited FASTEST data, but limiting SLOWER data to 50GB/mo? They're also claiming "Unlimited use of your phone as a WiFi connection at twice the speed as Visible plan." If I'm on a standard plan, does it mean twice the speed as it is now? I usually pull around 50Mbps down and 4Mbps up at home, so does it mean roughly 100/8 or something along those lines? Can anyone who has upgraded share their numbers?

I'm pretty sure they're referring to the throttled hotspot speed, not the speed you normally see when using data on the phone itself.

Did you manually copy the chat or use the save transcript feature? I did both, and the saved transcript just saved a txt file with 'No Script Found' and nothing else.

Same. I've been $25 a month for nearly 5 years and I don't want to risk losing the discount on a dubious upgrade.
you guys didnt got forced to choose a plan when these new plans were rolled out, I was getting message every day to choose a plan before they move me to a $25 plan. I choose $35 plan initiialy and then came to $25 plan after 2 month. that was about 2 years back when these plans were rolled

Well, I guess I should have read the entire thread before doing anything, I just changed my exisitng visible+ account and ended up losing my discount. Now instead of being $35/mo, my statement shows I owe $45/mo. Facepalm
Take your service to Mint Mobile for long enough to come back (hopefully at this promotional pricing).

I have been on the regular Visible Plan for a couple of years. Service nearly everywhere I go has been just fine. I really only noticed being de-prioritized once at a college basketball game (data still worked, but it was slow).
I recently took the bait and upgraded to Visible+. When on LTE or 5G, Visible+ doesn't feel any different than the old plan. However, if I can get a 5G UWB connection, it's definitely faster. My other reason for upgrading was to be able to add a smartwatch to my plan. However, Visible STILL only supports Apple Watches. I'm really hoping 2025 is the year they let us add Galaxy Watches. Visible Plus also gives you better hotspot speeds and the globalpass perks (if you travel). If you're paying $25 for Visible, $30 for Visible+ is probably worth it. $5 more per month. $60 more per year... and a much better deal than the old days!

Is it really noticeable? I'm thinking of upgrading the family
It was noticeable for me when I went to a concert in a stadium. The network was slammed. I had the basic plan.

Would the smart watch service get a different phone number than my current visible one? I plan to get a watch for my kid, so he can keep his own number.
If it has to be the same number , can I still somehow call him? (As calling myself?)
The watch plan is tied to the number on the Visible+ account. It will have that same phone number.

I had a really great surprise after upgrading. I though UWB would not work on a regular Pixel 9 (non pro) but it definitely does. I get 825M down and 12M up after upgrading my plan. I decided the extra $5 was worth it for premium data and not being deprioritized, but with the UWB, this was an awesome upgrade deal for me. It's very confusing that most sites say UWB only works with Pixel 9 pro.
