Comparable to this price point, US mobile offers unlimited calls/texts and 2GB/mo data, for $96/year with tax and fees included. That one is their regular price so it would renew at the same price next year.
It's different for every state. Mine came out to $83.31 for Virginia.

Da frig with these breakouts! The 90s called?
2x as much data is a whopping $2/mo more
It's a waste of $25 if you never need more than 5GB. Don't think I've ever used more than 3GB for any month.

Not sure if it's an obvious question, but going to assume it goes to $180 the following year?

Trying to sign up. It asked me to choose between two APNs. APN: VZWINTERNET or APN: PWG/t-mobile. Which one should I go with? My phone is pixel 7 pro.

How can you find out which carrier's towers your particular location will use?

You could check the coverage maps for VZN and TMO, but honestly, they show most urban areas completely covered, but reality sometimes does not seem to reflect that. If you know one or the other network will give you good service, you can simply choose that network when order a plan on the Infimobile website.

Note that some folks report that they are NOT given a choice between networks when ordering. In my case, yes, I am given the option. So it might be location dependent, for example, in zipcode 12345 both networks are good so you are given the option, but in zipcode 67890, VZN is the only viable option for InfiMobile so they do not give you a choice. This is all speculation on my part...

The total in northern Illinois comes to:

$75 + $2.53 = $77.53
(including all taxes, surcharges, fees and shipping)

I'd say it's a pretty good deal for a year with 5 GB of monthly high speed data!
Is this just a teaser rate meaning after 12 months it's jacked to normal price?

That's what I think as well. These rates are only to attract new customers.

But, that's ok, I'd stay with them for a year, and closer to end date, I'll look forward to porting out to another carrier with promotional rates.

Go to cellmapper.net website or download their app. Zoom in your neighborhoods to see the signal coverage in your areas. Make sure that you filter based on "Provider". T-Mobile provider number is 310260, Verizon is 311480. Note that the signal strength data is crowdsourced, not all street level details are available in rural areas.
