photo says 4lbs. if it was closer to 3lbs it would have been great
That image also shows the S15 (with the larger bottom bezel) rather than the S16 (much smaller lower bezel), so who knows. I have this laptop, and mine weighs 3.31 lbs.

I searched this laptop up and people said it gets hot and throttles; can anyone comment on that please? Also the battery life seems to be a concern too
It can get hot under heavy processing loads, especially if it's sitting on a poorly ventilated surface. I don't game so I can't speak to throttling, but it wouldn't surprise me. Battery life is fine for my use case, which is usually not more than 3-4 hours away from a desk/power cord. I usually get about 6-8 hours on battery (mostly web browsing, word processing, etc.) but I'm not aggressive about power saving settings.

Since a major selling point is OLED at 3k (since OLED screens with 1080p are not desirable), can I at least play games at 3K 60fps?
Not a chance. $300-400 desktop Graphics cards are the norm for 1440p 60fps, which is 2.5K. This is NOT a gaming computer. Would be good for media creation.

no touchscreen kills the deal
Most people don't like the touchscreens because it makes the image grainy from the digitizer

IMO, this seems like a pretty damn good deal for high specs (outside of RAM). Thinking of purchasing it. Has anyone had a bad experience returning items such as this to Staples? I haven't shopped there in probably 5+ years.

Yes most definitely. The recent iterations of Integrated Intel graphics starting with Meteor Lake (which this laptop has) have greatly improved graphics performance. Its not going to play cyerpunk at 4K, but they are no longer paperweights, you can comfortably play most midrange titles at 1080P medium settings these days. I think most people still have the impression Intel is still trotting out the Intel Iris Xe iGPU which long outstayed its welcome until Intel finally released this refresh early 2024.
Would this be powerful enough to play pcvr games (ex. Quest link)?

Thanks, I just placed an order and it has been shipped out. I wonder if this laptop has a 2nd M2 slot for an additional ssd?
