It's better to buy it from straight talk website directly since you could get better cashback (12% currently) from some cash back site. Also some chase card give 25% cashback for straight talk (capped at 15).

That can bring down the effective price to 204. (You still have to pay tax on 249 though)

Adding the link to the previous thread.
A bit more than the previous deal after taxes+fees but similar overall.
I purchased it last time and consensus was that you need to purchase the silver plan at minimum to get this price. Only need to buy one month of service. Wait another 30 days (60 days total) then the phone will be carrier unlocked.

It's not $50 higher than BF deal.
It's $40 higher than BF deal since this only needs $35 plan but the BF deal needs $45 plan.

Sir, you are missing the point. Call it old school or whatever, there something called "convenience" and the ability to pop a physical sim at the drop of a hat can be termed that, which goes away with iphone 14 and forward

There are multiple reasons for some people to prefer physical sim over eSIM. Let me list some reasons: at some countries , a local eSIM only gave you data access and didn't give you a local phone number and some local services only works with local phone number. People wound like to switch phones between Android and iPhone and unfortunately this still require you contact with customer service. For example, if you have a t mobile eSIM on your Samsung galaxy phone, you don't really can move it to iPhone without contacting with t mobile customer service

Couple of years ago ST/TF/TW was a different company. It's now owned by Verizon & things aren't the same since they took over.
