It's better to buy it from straight talk website directly since you could get better cashback (12% currently) from some cash back site. Also some chase card give 25% cashback for straight talk (capped at 15).

That can bring down the effective price to 204. (You still have to pay tax on 249 though)

Adding the link to the previous thread.
A bit more than the previous deal after taxes+fees but similar overall.
I purchased it last time and consensus was that you need to purchase the silver plan at minimum to get this price. Only need to buy one month of service. Wait another 30 days (60 days total) then the phone will be carrier unlocked.

It's not $50 higher than BF deal.
It's $40 higher than BF deal since this only needs $35 plan but the BF deal needs $45 plan.

I have the iPhone 11 and have been looking to upgrade my iphone and also change carriers. Is this a good deal for that? I just do 2 months with Straight Talk and then maybe move to Tracfone after?

For reference, it was $245 with plan around Black Friday, so $35 plan and a little more tax now, mitigate that with some cash back. Best I've seen since BF.

I had one phone that was not activated (procrastinated) and then I couldn't get it unlocked.

Bought two with intention to rebrand onto Tracfone since I have existing lines on TF but unsuccessful rebrand/activation with phone/chat reps Frown Any suggestions or will I have to fork out another 25-35 to buy a straight talk plan

I had this experience too, never had luck calling or chatting to rebrand, some say they have been able to activate Walmart purchased straight talk phones on Tracfone, but that has never been my experience, I got tired and just did the month plan and will wait the 60 days.

so i bought the phone from Walmart, how do i activate or select the $35 plan? I went to straghttalk, it only had $45 was the cheapest.
