Completely different shoes that you can't even compare them in terms of which one is better. The Adios Pro 3 have been some of the best shoes out there for marathon, half marathon and even shorter distance racing. They're horrible for walking or even slow jogging.

The Ultraboosts are comfylifestyle shoes that could be used for running, but there are much better things out there.

These run unisex true to sense. Women's is minus 1 of men's.
For me, it's 1 1/2 so I wear a mens 8.5 and a womens 10.

Feel like you're the only person that feels that way. Those 2 are the best reviewed long distance running shoes.
Buy them then. Find out for yourself. Reviews on the Adidas website are paid for by Adidas. Adidas gives reviewers 50 adiClub points for each submitted review which can be exchanged for store credit. Most Shoe-tube and website reviewers are shills who engage is quid pro quo with the running brands. In exchange for free shoes and merch they publish generally favorable reviews. You have to read between the lines to get the truth because these "pro" reviewers are often reluctant to bite the hand that feeds them.

The upper on the AP3 is trash. You will find yourself in an unwinnable struggle between lace bite and heel slip. The hard nylon eyelet reinforcement patch at the instep will irritate the front of the ankle joint. As for the PX2 Adidas went in a different direction than PX1 and turned it into a stability shoe. The midsoles is firm and clunky. They biased the heel bevel to the lateral side to force supination at the rear of the foot in a misguided effort to make this high stack palatable for hobby joggers with weak hip stabilizers and poor biomechanics. The plates in the PX2 are constantly breaking at the weak point wear the two plates converge. Adidas only offers a paltry 6 month warranty. They will fight tooth and nail on warranty exchanges.

I have a 12-15 pair shoe rotation (I realize this is kinda ridiculous) and run 55-60 miles per week. I like trying different shoes. The AP3 has been my favorite race shoe for a while now. My first pair has about 250 race miles and I expect they're only 1/3-1/2 of the way through their life. Did a road 50k in the AP3 a few months ago with no issues, no blisters, nothing.

Some folks do have issues with the upper causing discomfort and hot spots, but that's not universal.

And the PX2 is absolutely not a stability shoe. It's incredibly unstable due to the crazy stack height but great for super long runs at marathon pace (plus or minus).

I'm sorry these shoes have triggered you so badly that you feel the need to respond as you have, but these are great shoes for a ton of people. And this is (was?) a wild price. I picked up a third pair of AP3 and a second pair of the X2.

What do you think about the Supernova Rise shoes then for walking/running?
Supernova Rise is fantastic for $50 (Adidas ebay outlet). I got a pair before Christmas and replaced my ghosts.
The AP3 though (this post) is a fantastic marathon shoe. Used it in my Chicago marathon this year. The Ultraboost is a decent daily trainer now, but it's not in any way as propulsive and light as the AP3.

For real. I raced several half and a full marathon in the Adios Pro 3. Love, love love them. The upper isn't the best, but it's fine once you get it dialed in.
As far as dissing the PSX2, I have hundreds of miles in my pair and I absolutely love them. The Strung upper is trivial to get good lockdown and the massive slab of Lightstrike Pro is just fantastic.

Mens 12 and 13 available and most womens. Weird how they keep popping in and out of stock.

You're actually in the minority with regards to these shoes and your perspective has been conditioned by the clever pricing and marketing strategy of brands like Adidas. The "crazy" price is the MSRP. Not the other way around. The PX2 is undeniably a step backwards from the PX1. It is a stability shoe if you understand what characterizes a stability shoe. Your anecdotal experience with the AP3 is just a study of N1. The vast majority of people drag the shoe for its terrible upper. I can understand, why post-purchase, someone would indulge in rationalizations to justify their purchase of the AP3 but that does not therefore mean that a potential customer should disregard this concern. Companies that gimp shoes, such as what Adidas did to the Prime X series, should not be rewarded. Regardless of the price. Same for shoes that are compromised by terrible heel slip, tongue and lace bite issues. Adidas can and should do better. They need to stop obsessing with weight or consign those race day concerns to the EVO line. The Prime X design philosophy needs to embrace the characteristics of the original version and eschew the destructive goal of accessibility at all costs. If runners can not handle the PX1 then they need to work on their core stability and hip strength. Don't compromise the fun and performance of a cutting edge shoe to placate the ignorant, weak and lazy hobby jogger. That's all I have to say on these subjects.

ALL running is a hobby unless you're training for the Olympics. Welcome to the world of us "ignorant hobby runners"

I regret being so negative about the AP3. I have not right to be so opinionated about that shoe because I haven't run it. I reread and reconsidered the thoughtful comments from you and other people and decided to try the AP3 for myself. I purchased 2 pairs today at the $87.50 price despite the deal being marked as "expired" a couple days ago. Apparently, some limited inventory is still managing to trickle in through the Adidas-Simon sales channel.

I ordered two pairs of the Adios Pro 3 from Adidas via Shop Simon. Fedex delivered my order today. Shockingly, one of the shoe boxes contained a pair of cheapie shoes. Someone had swapped out (stole) an AP3 and put some cheap trail shoes in the box.

I eventually ordered a couple pairs of the AP3. But I got punked. One of the AP3 boxes had a pair of cheap trail shoes. Apparently some unscrupulous person stole the AP3 and swapped in a cheap substitute. A bit of headache but I will get a refund. The AP3 fits good with no heel slip.

Between the AP3 and PX2 which one has the better fitting upper...in your opinion of course?
