This is just a data point of one- but my jar spoiled pretty quickly even in the fridge

Didn't even get halfway through it (dogs avoided anything with it like the plague, got nasty farts the week before, etc.)

Lasted roughly a month before spoiling

fish oil is one of those things where you should probably start asking questions if it's super cheap.

Thank you, Madjukes. You not only saved me $34.95 but the agony of the suffering through the lesser known, biblical 11th plague on Egypt… … dogs with rancid farts!

Thanks! Have bought this brand in the past but switched to Wonder Bound due to price. I paid $32.45 for this 64 ounce bottle before tax, which is about what I pay for 32 ounces of Wonder Bound.

Yeah that seems to be the issue with these. Have to use fairly quickly. 30 days is ridiculous tho 😕

Ignore this, looks like this company started adding Pollock fish oil now. This is one of the few brands that is only Salmon fish oil. Others have started mixing with other types of fish (like Pollock)

Has there been any independent testing on this? Concerned about heavy metals in these types of supplements.

Such is the case with human food too... but we don't.

Just my experience - I have a smaller bottle of this with one 20lb dog and wasn't able to get through it before expiring with its recommended daily use

That's one of the reasons that I don't eat any oily fish, bottom feeders, etc. I certainly don't take fish oil and neither do either of my physicians.

Can anybody attest to how effective this is as a supplement for dogs?

It probably wasn't sealed correctly. I've used a couple of different brands and they all say 90 days and never had an issue. Prefer the Icelandic pure but it's $$$ and there are similar ones with same ingredients for less than half

They have a salmon only one it's just that it costs twice as much. I normally give my dog sardine and anchovy oil based on the omega acid level amounts.

We don't use this product, but just normal fish oil pills from Walgreens for our dog. When she was a puppy we pretended that they were treats and she chomps them right up.

Very noticeable improvement in her coat when taking fish oil. We just found it cheaper to buy the human version and trick her into eating them.

I buy salmon (not a bottom feeder) only oil for my GS and Chi and it does seem to keep their coats shiny. That said, this 64oz will turn bad within 6-12 months even refrigerated unless used. Chose carefully on these oils.
