Stick with reputable brands for chargers (Anker, Belkin, Spigen, Ugreen, Baseus). Ones that have actual safety listings. Don't be surprised if this craps out in a few weeks or starts a fire.

Yeah, this is WAY too many ports and too much power to be this cheap. There's a reason the mainstream brands like Anker and Belkin cost more.

145W on your desk from some random Amazon company is a CRAZY idea IMO.

The reason this charger is cheap (6-Port 145W GaN) is the limited charging profiles for the ports. The picture shows the specifications for the device, and you can see A1-A2-A3-C1 are all capped at 15W, with C2 at 20W and C3 at 65W. If you like the slim horizontal profile and only need 1 port for quick charging, then I guess it's ok. You're really using this to charge a bunch of slow charge devices.

Anyone know how reliable these chargers are? Could they potentially damage the phone or laptop connected to them? Thanks.

Despite the house in Bellevue, WA, the website is registered in China. No surprise there

I haven't purchased this brand, but I did almost start a fire with a cheapo noname 5-port large wattage brand. The plug part itself was on a regular extension cord, resting on my rug so it would be close enough with my laptop plugged in, and I smelled something funny. It would have easily been a fire if I had plugged in my laptop and walked away.

Stick with named brands please.

Why scared? The people who have posted have no experience with this company, they are just going by the usual "I don't trust my $1000 phone on some $15 device" which is BS. I have bought plenty of cheap Amazon non name chargers and they have all been fine. Of the over 20 chargers I have used, the only 2 that have failed me is Anker and Apple OEM. I am not knocking either of those, it happens sometimes.
If you actually read some of the Anker threads on SD, you will actually see others that have had bad luck with Anker. Again, it doesn't mean you shouldn't trust them, but it just means like any electronic device, there will be some failure. Yet somehow if one of these no name chargers gets a " it died on me" post, then all of them gets the stigma of trash despite the thousands out there that have worked fine.

Lol, you just made my point. One "no name" bad experience and we should all stay away from all brands we have never heard of?

There were some Samsung note phones that caught fire. Should we stay away from all Samsung phones?

If you look at almost every Anker thread lately, you will find someone having a bad experience with them lately and yet we all still trust them. Keep in mind, there was a time when Anker was a no name brand as well until it was heavily shilled on SD.

I see this as being a good thing. Each port has a discrete max which makes for a simpler circuitry. Most people don't really need more than 1 device to charge 65w (ie laptop). 20w usb-c for your phone or tablet is more than enough. 15w for smartwatches and overnight charging of your phone is better for the life of your device. I would have liked c1 to be at 20w as well, but it's not a huge deal.

Plus, it is GaN which everyone here seems to be obsessed with.

The price has gone up. It's $16 instead of $14.7. Typical Amazon.
