Adjustable stick tension, rear buttons. I never buy the warranty on anything, but IMO, on these, it's a must. It's not if it will break, it's when.

FYI for those of you who want to add some type of additional warranty after purchase you can register your controller directly with Microsoft under the devices section at https://account.microsoft.com/ they have a 3 year extended protection plan that includes accidental damage for $19. Great for those who think they might experience stick drift in the future.

If it's going to break, why buy it? My "cheap" Xbox S X controller is still fine after 5 years, and my Xbox One X controller is still going after about 8 years.

even my old Xbox 360 controllers still work fine 😂

Ordered this two weeks ago. Same price. Still waiting for it to ship. I'm guessing the snow or low inventory has delayed it.

Good deal though.

What makes this controller retail twice as much as the regular ones?

They also have bumper (not trigger) button issues too. I've replaced them several times on mine and a co-worker's.

The option to add rear paddles. You can pick up a set for like $10 on Amazon. You can program those paddles to function as any other buttons. The controller can store up to three profiles for button configurations.

Tired of Xbox gamepad drift issues. I am not buying another Xbox gamepad until they upgrade to hall effect sticks.

I'm lucky to have bought an elite 1 and elite 2 and used them regularly and never had any issues. The only thing that wore out first were the side grips. No sticky buttons or stick drift.

With that being said I bought additional insurance on both of my controllers

I got mine used cheap after another coworker was tired of the problems with his and I know how to solder so I fixed it 😂

Same reason people buy a Beamer over a Toyota. Luxury item to show off and has all the extras even if the Toyota will last a lifetime.

Same here.
My Xbox 360 controller is still working. But I got new ones for Xbox One and keep getting sucked into threads with new controllers for 45 bucks just for the color.
