This is the most foul tasting protein I've ever tried. I have a tub I can't bring myself to open.

To find the cost per gram of protein from the protein powder, follow these steps:
1. Calculate the total amount of protein in one tub:
• Protein per serving = 25 grams.
• Total servings per tub = 66.
• Total protein per tub = grams.
2. Calculate the total cost of three tubs:
• Total cost for 3 tubs = $150.54.
3. Calculate the cost per tub:
• Cost per tub = dollars.
4. Calculate the cost per gram of protein:
• Cost per gram of protein = dollars per gram.

So, the price per gram of protein is approximately 3.04 cents.

so it would be cheaper and tastier to buy real cheddar cheese.

Honestly?

Keto/carnivore is largely unsustainable long term. As someone that's been active due to having a desk job for the last 2 decades the one thing that is most important is sustainability. Keto works. I won't deny this. However long term it's not sustainable. Especially if you're serious about it. You have to be severely antisocial and virtually never go out to sustain it. Additionally long term past 3 months there's performance issues with activity regime that I've personally experienced.

The best regime is what you can sustain and repeat day in and day out. Activities that you can repeat the next day and the day after. I've found resistance training and high mileage cardio to be a bad fit with keto especially past your 20s. As strange as it sounds I've found more benefits in recovery with moderate protein (~80g+) and a larger portion of complex and simple carbohydrates than I ever did with keto.

I started long distance running in 2024 and I could not run to save my life for the longest time. I largely did resistance only training. But I realized it doesn't matter if I'm in the 1500 club. I get winded going up and down the stairs. So I switched my regime and focused on training cardio for longer controlled and sustained in specific HR zones and moderate circuit resistance training. Not only did I not lose much muscle mass I've lost more weight than I ever did while being on keto. All while still being able to enjoy regular food.

All that to say I still prefer the iso100 as it's easier on the stomach and absorbs better. I've found isopure to have issues with digestion. YMMV
Duh if you are long distance running you need the carbs. Keto is for a different goal - blood sugar control for the average person.

I want to know what (smart) people think of this vs iso 100.

I'm cranking up my diet and am fully committing to keto carnivore which is why I'm about to switch from iso 100 to this. Yes even a few grams of carbs can make a difference (I think lol)

Will rep for useful info.
ISO 100 pebbles is my absolute favorite. I mix it with Greek yogurt, freeze for few hrs mix nuts and tastes like ice cream. I have this one too in vanilla, it's quality stuff mixes well but tastes wise pebbles is great. But for price might be worth it

People are apparently not mixing it correctly. Most protein powders when mixed with water and a spoon are 1) not going to mix well 2) not taste very good.

I make two shakes a day with this protein for the last year and even two of the girls I've made the same shake for said it was hands down the best protein smoothie they've ever had. This is a good deal. Pretty sure it's cheaper than Costco's price as well

whey and isolate can be made from american cows

in theory the price should not skyrocket unless prices from China was keeping the market price down

there are threads on reddit with people buying bulk lots directly from US farm production, like 50 pounds minimum? so not for everyone

This stuff makes me feel cruddy for about 30 minutes each time I use it. Not sure why but I'm confident it's the isopure.

lol you don't buy protein powder because it's cheap. You buy it because it's low calorie/gram of protein. It's usually cheaper than most meat though.

This is still one of my favorites of the 5-6 brands I've tried and this is pretty much the best prices you're ever gonna see. But it is A LOT. Unless you're using this consistently everyday skip buying this volume.

I was looking for a good deal on these since my tub is almost gone. The price is so good but the reviews are saying some might be counterfeit. I don't wanna risk $150 worth of fake powder. I guess I'll have to pay more to grab it at costco. Shame, amz can't be reliable when it comes to separating authentic inventories from resellers.

I mixed it with vanilla ice cream once, and it became unbearable sweet and gross, doesn't pair well with anything

That's not correct. Studies have been done to show the opposite. It's all individualized based on your specific routine diet. When you long distance run you are using a blend of ketones and glucose. Those types of runners deplete glycogen storages and then switch over automatically. The human body is remarkable and can live on almost nothing or almost everything (edible) and survive.

I guess that's why runners carb load.
