For those who are buying their first set: The drill and impact driver look very similar but have two different purposes. The drill is good for drilling holes and putting screws into "light" materials (such as drywall). The impact driver is good for driving screws into harder materials (such as wood). If you try to drive a screw into wood with a drill, it's easy to strip the screw head because of the speed that the bit will turn as it's slipping. The impact driver makes tiny little movements (very quickly) that help prevent it from slipping and you're less likely to strip the screw head. (It is kinda noisy though.)

Haven't tried the multi-tool yet, but I'm happy to hear it works well. The flashlight has come in really handy, and we have been using it a lot. Eats batteries, though. The lantern light that came with the 10 tool kit has lasted 2 days on the same battery, can't say the for the one in this kit, maybe a full day .
Overall, these Skil 12v tools are great for weekend warriors. Not selling my Milwaukee or Dewalt anytime soon but have been using the Skil tools a lot more than I was expecting.
I am definitely buying some of the new USB-C 4ah batteries for this when available. The option to fast charge our phones has been a godsend for us during this power outage.
Too bad they're out of stock.

Also have a circular saw, air pump, electric ratchet and impact tool. All have met and exceeded my expectations. Can't beat the value of this for the average Joe like me.

Edit: before more ppl get offended, the speaker and the light are great tools…the issue just becomes once you're in a tool platform for a while you wind up having 15 lights (or whatever the tool a given company always includes in their multi tool kits is, and it gets a little depressing that 2 out of 5 of the "power tools" in the kits are of little value to you and flooded on eBay and such because millions of people have this same experience and buy the kits and sell these extras
Very very very different cells and battery pack situation going on though, fwiw, so I wouldn't worry about the battery situation, all these tools acquire their cells from a handful of battery manufacturers (LG Chem, Samsung, Sanyo, Sony, Panasonic, etc)
so it's not almost never the fault of the company who's name is on the end user device when there's a battery issue like that.
I respect Flex if for nothing else for being a bit more honest in their advertising and naming schemes, being the only current 24V lineup I can think of that actually is honestly 24v nominal, as opposed to Dewalt for example using 20v MAX, which is the same as 18v Nominal, to try to make their tools sound more powerful than Milwaukee when in reality they're the same voltage, kobalt's 24V tools are 24V max, 21.6v nominal (24v of any variety is relatively rare)
These distinctions are somewhat lacking in importance compared to the old days where voltage played such a massive role in power output. It still does, but a 18v Milwaukee or dewalt will usually destroy everything of slightly higher voltage but the flex 24v line
ANYWAY, tangents aside, yes Skil was purchased from Bosch by Chervon (Flex's Parent company). Luckily for tool nerds they launched not just this new consumer oriented "skil" lineup of tools but also launched a seperate "skilsaw" sub-brand. skilsaw's corded worm drive saws are legendary and many people thought we'd never get a modern cordless worm drive rear handle skilsaw, so many were ecstatic upon its release
Regardless, just remember unless you're using a product made by Samsung, LG, Panasonic etc…the battery cells have nothing to do with the tool manufacturer or the car manufacturer etc and are sourced entirely from a small handful of companies in 99% of cases

Having said that in defense of ryobi, imo there's little reason for anyone that's remotely savvy at shopping for sales to use ryobi, even just the quality of plastics is greatly improved with higher end tools and over you start shopping the higher end ryobi stuff like the one+ HP or whatever they're called, the prices are way too close to rigid and other superior offerings.
Also, now that Walmart has the HART stuff for dirt cheap and made by TTI, Ryobi is dead to me. Unless you already have a vast Ryobi collection, I couldn't justify buying into it today personally
