I purchased 2 when they were $99, and although locked for 1 year they've been working flawlessly for several months now on Tello using MKSD Ultra V5.6

For those having trouble porting in from TracFone, Straight Talk, or Total Wireless, here are the steps you need to take at the porting part. This is based on my experience. I have successfully completed port-ins from these sites after working out this guide. The guide below is taken from Total Wireless port into Metro. It should be the same for Straight Talk and other TracFone subsidiaries including TracFone.

Port Info Needed:
Most can be found here
https://www.totalwireless.com .. my-account.. manage-lines
Line: Phone number
Account: Phone IMEI (Text Four to 611611 to confirm)
Zip code: Your zip code
PIN: Text NTP to 611611 to generate your PIN.

----------------------
At the Porting part.
1. Enter the port info.
2. Metro contacts Total Wireless. (See picture 1)
3. Metro throws an error even if you entered everything correctly. (See picture 2)
4. The error is because Total Wireless is contacting the line owner to warn them about the port. (See picture 3)
5. Click on Correct errors.
6. Re-enter everything again and make sure everything is correct.
7. Metro throws another error. The same one as seen in Picture 2.
8. This is a bug on Metro site.
9. Click on the X at the top right to close that error message.
10. Metro proceeds to completing the order.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you clicked on submitting the order to Metro, your Total/ST/Tracfone line is immediately inactivated on their respective site, not allowing you to port that line any further even if Metro denied your order asking you to contact them or go to their store for completing the order. In order words, you cannot reverse the porting at Total/ST/Tracfone. I spent 2 hours with Total and it was going nowhere.

Yes it's still alive, I just placed another order, maybe the # you're transferring is not eligible for discount.
Thanks for confirming. I did try my main # too (Tmo) and still wouldn't show the discount upon checkout. I'll try again.

already mentioned here, you have to have a VZ or ATT number to port in. a TMO or TMO MVNO number will not work!

Anyone tried an esim from another carrier or vice versa on a physical sim card, kind of silly for a phone to have 2 ways to get service while only allowing 1
You can have both, as long as it's another Metro plan. what's the meaning of locked?

Thanks. Forgot to mention i did try an ATT number too and also got the same error.
And now the website is "experiencing technical difficulties"😕

EDIT*... it was probably my VPN. turned it off and is now able to see the listed price.

I don't have pre-existing Metro account so I have a standalone line for this I guess. I just got the phone and activated it on the order status page without unwrapping the box. However, I am unable to log in to the account to disable auto-pay because logging in requires an authentication code sent via text. In your experience, is there any other way to turn off auto pay without having to open the box and turn on the phone just to get the text? Thank you!
Maybe you can Port your number out of Metro to close the account saving you from having to open the box. I plan on porting back to Xfinity mobile before the end of the billing cycle myself. I successfully ported two of my Xfinity mobile lines via the website today. Both times I got oops error messages but I was able to click correct errors and both orders worked after doing this although I suspect I had all the information put in correct the first time. I was able to use the same Xfinity mobile pin port number for both my lines. Hopefully these new iPhone 13s unlock at the 6-month Mark as some here suspected may happen and we don't have to wait 12 months

mythspal doesn't have a choice but have to open the box. You can't get port-out info without logging into your account. If you call the CS, I'm pretty sure they won't do anything without you confirming the verification code they'll send to the number.

If the purpose is to gift it to someone, just order a second one. It's even cheaper since the plan charge will only be $35. But bear in mind one year is a long wait. An alternative is to watch some YouTube clips on how open to the box without breaking the seal.

I placed two separate orders each for $130. I was under the impression the $70 plan was required on each order to get the $50 iPhone 13 with port. Perhaps Im misunderstanding your comment

You got it wrong my friend! If you check their plan details, you'll notice the first line is $75 and the subsequent lines are all half. However, it's not easy to order more than two. Read comments in prior threads.

Truth is with luck and persistence, you may order up to 5 under the same plan in one account. So theoretically, you could order a total of 10 Smilie
