I think the various Metro iPhone deals should be merged because a lot of the questions are being asked in the different threads and they're mostly relevant to all of them.

iPhone 12, 64gb, "Free" with port in and plan of $75 = $75

iPhone 13, 128gb, $49.99 with port in and plan of $75 = $125

iPhone 14, 128gb, $99.99 with port in and plan of $75 = $175

If you have a Visible line you can use a referral to get $20 off the $25 plan = $5 for the line and then you can port that into Metro.

Additional lines on Metro are $35 so add that to the cost of the phone above for the cost of additional lines. So additional iPhone 12 would be $35.

Various experiences on the success of adding lines to your Metro account, though. Some go through hell just trying to add one. Others can add three or four more.

Unlock does supposedly take a year now, and I don't think anyone can confirm yet that it will actually unlock if you get the plan/phone for the first month and then let your plan/account just die (because you don't set up auto-bill to renew after the first month unless you really want to) - but I don't think there's any reason to suspect it won't unlock.

That's the crux of it. Again, there are already a few posts existing, especially for the iPhone 12 deal, so your questions have been likely already been answered if you want to search those threads.

If anyone cares, there is not much difference in Geekbench scores

I'd just get the iPhone 13 for $125 (similar deal from Metro as well). The phones are nearly identical, with the same processor.

Trade in values are also very similar, with Apple offering $50 more for this (and it costing $50 more)

Others may have already mentioned, you get 12 to dispose off right away for trade in. We got 6 total and 3 already traded in with T-Mo and three more to go.

Unless you plan to use with Metro for a year to unlock, 13 or 14 is NOT a hot deal for any other purposes.

you got the number from Visible yesterday? do you need to receive the sim card from Visible and then make the port in?

I think you can do it quicker if you get a esim from visible.

if you have an unlocked phone with esim, and compatible with Visible, you can get number instantly, if you don't, you need to wait until you receive your physical sim in the mail.

Even 3rd world countries such as Nigeria, Vietnam support esim. LOL...

precisely..... 3rd world country usually couldn't care less who wanted to use phones in their country.

more "advanced" countries are usually more paranoid... some even require presenting your ID or passport to get a prepaid SIM.(physical or eSIM) Smilie

If my math is correct, iphone 13 gives the best trade in value at Apple, provided that Metro allows adding a line and the plan got reduced.

You can choose any plan, however you will only get the discount if you choose the $75 plan.

You won't get the price with a cheaper plan, the good news is on subsequent lines, the flex plus gets discounted to $35.
So the 2nd iPhone will cost $135.

Got a Visible number and got one... I'll decide whether to keep it or not after I receive it. I have a feeling the 365 unlock policy isn't actually live because I just had a Nord N30 that I bought after the unlock policy change and when I checked it today, it was unlocked.

Visible and search online for a referral code to get the number for $5.00.

When is 'after unlock policy'? Trying to understand what you mean
