Why would you thumb down a deal that clearly says YMMV? Such behavior discourages others from posting items that may be available for some and not for others. Unless of course, you feel $1,999 isn't a good price for a $5,499 item, for those that can find it.

Bought 5 of them for my business all 5 broken with 6 months and no repair shop local that works on them which a waste of money I ended up buying Toro z turn replacements that have good customer service

I hear you I've been looking at these for years and decided this will be my first riding mower and it happens to be electric. I bought it yesterday after work drove straight to Lowes and it took some time but the guys found two in the back.

Neighbor has Ryobi electric like this. Year 2 battery capacity has reduced dramatically. Can barely get one whole cut done

Edit - meanwhile my gas zero turn is 10 years old and I will probably have forever with regular maintenance and homeowner use

Super skeptical about the battery life reviews. I think these are great ideas but seems like the tech hasn't fully caught up to the idea yet. This is at least the third time I've seen bottom out clearance deals of electric zero turns on SD.

With that being said and I was in the market for a mower, I'd take the gamble on this vs paying 1200-1600 for a gasser.

What's the best way to haul these home? My local store won't deliver it. Any car rental company with low deck and ramp? I don't want to deal with trailers. TIA

Do you know if he has the lead acid batteries or lithium ones. Lead acid are def not as long lasting. That's what I have had for the past couple years, got the 500 deal that HD cleared out so totally worth it even if it needs new batteries in the future

If I could buy a zucchini, why would I buy a bowling ball? Pretty much a similar comparison. You are comparing a Honda push mower to a zero turn riding mower.

Work at Lowes Sold many many Riding mowers etc over the years ......Ego products are very very nice BUT this is not worth it imop when u can buy a Toro Z-Turn for $600 more and have for 20yrs with Simple in home maintenance etc YES its Gas im aware and NOT the simple electric motor style item BUT the batteries are just not worth the aggravation you WILL eventually have. There's a reason these don't sell at Regular prices BUT they finally move at clearance $$$

I absolutely love my ego yard tools but I'm still not sold on an entire electric riding mower. I'm also worried about what happens in 5 years when the warranty goes out. My parents have had multiple gas mowers last 20+ years and my current mower is a decade old. I'm not sure if the same will be said for electric. I mean yes the batteries can be replaced but at what cost the same cost as a new mower?
