Lowes is clearly advertising 5 year warranty with this sale. If Ego is denying defective battery replacement, then follow with Lowes and have them deal with Ego. Also, ask Lowes for inconvenience compensation for delivering bad batteries.
Yeah, and the entire stance Ego is taking is ridiculous. They sold these units to Lowes already...Lowes is simply trying to clear inventory for more stuff, hence the price.

It's not like Ego is hung out to dry here...if they have to warranty their product, the situation has nothing to do with what the consumer paid at the register.

Sounds like they are mad Lowes is taking a loss on these. Oh well.

If you buy it from your neighbor who paid $6k for it last year, Ego will warranty it. If you buy it from Lowes for $1,999, they are bound by the 5-yr warranty. Their batteries are part of the warranty, so it's their problem to resolve, regardless of what someone paid for the product.

Like you said, I'll just have Lowes reach out to them to understand what the problem is.

If Ego is reading this, sorry to deliver a blow to your ego, but you are on the hook since you manufactured these products whilst offering a confident 5-yr warranty. Doesn't matter if I got the mower free, it is covered. Sorry you are mad.

I was in the store and they had one out back and couldn't find the charger and batteries. I saw this post and sure enough it was in stock. Gets delivered Jan 21st. I'll have a few months to decide on keeping it or the 42" Cub Cadet gas powered I got last season.

I went to Lowes today to check the condition of the mower I bought. It was worse than expected. They have 6 of these units, they said all were in similar condition. Very dirty, dirt inside the battery box. The batteries look like they were sitting in mud. The batteries were manufactured in 2021. I think I'm going to pass.

For any who ordered today, did yours say it has to be assembled? Wondering if it says that for already assembled mowers. Would be nice to know they were actually building it so id know it is a fresh model not one experiencing the kind of stuff y'all are mentioning.

Lowe's just called and said they can't find the 10ah batteries and offered to fulfill the order with four new 7.5ah instead. Still worth it? I'm looking to mow around 1 relatively flat acre.
Absolutely not.

I got 12ah instead of the 10ah.

If they're offering 7.5ah you better be getting six of them.

Hard to say what is "worth it" to you if you missed the original deal. Minimally I would see if they would reduce the price. When I was looking, I found one Lowe's that was offering the tool only for $1300. I didn't personally like that offer, just giving that context to say that they are somewhat malleable on price.

Can't believe I didn't see this deal until 6 days later. Couldn't believe my luck, I was able to get one from a Lowes an hour out with a $200 rebate from Xcel for outdoor electric equipment.

Recent reviews are scary. I'd recommend only buying this if you can see it in the store. Lot of deliveries of units that were stored outside.
The one I picked up was going to be a unit that was soaking wet.
After pointing that out, I ended up getting switched to the floor model that was stored indoors.

Has anyone actually purchased this, attempted to register the product, and gotten confirmation of the registration based on the Lowe's receipt? Seems like that would imply that the warranty would apply if so.
I registered through the app and it's showing up there. I registered mower, charger, and all 4 batteries. They confirmed the extended warranty from 3 to 5 years on the batteries.

Mine came with batteries from October 2021. I presume this is why these went on sale. What is the dates of everyones batteries?

My experience as well. Though the batteries are kept inside. I purchased mine. I seem to get "overload" error when attempting to start the blades

Mine was canceled a few hours after placing the order. It's showing local but I think I'll skip the debt and crap shoot gamble on machines left outdoors for a few years.
