Why would you thumb down a deal that clearly says YMMV? Such behavior discourages others from posting items that may be available for some and not for others. Unless of course, you feel $1,999 isn't a good price for a $5,499 item, for those that can find it.

Bought 5 of them for my business all 5 broken with 6 months and no repair shop local that works on them which a waste of money I ended up buying Toro z turn replacements that have good customer service

It's slick cause of the price compared to what it normally sells for, not because of how it compares in your mind to another product

Good luck. I thought and did the same thing. Guess what showed up..one of the ones sitting outside. They are discounted bc they are nearly 2-3 years old. According to my 2 local Lowes, there are not any nicely crated and tucked away in the back. I still took the delivery. I'll take a shot, and hopefully, it lasts a few years. The 10ah batteries alone are $499 a piece, so you get a mower for free.
Fingers crossed. I was told it was not a display model on any Lowe's floor but I'm skeptical.

$499 is the value of a freshly produced battery. Are these abused 3-4 year old batteries that have a higher probability of needing warranty claims (good luck with that also) still valued at $499?

One available in Columbus, GA for pickup. Ordered one for delivery.
Was in Macon today. Lowe's I visited had 3 lined up outside. One appeared in good condition. Noticed other Lowe's in Macon had listed stock too.

Insane deal! With military discount and 6% Cashback, ended up only costing $1792 delivered!
Congrats!...my experience with Lowes is no military discount on anything discounted.....not even an item marked down to a buck....no discount for me
Home Depot much easier to work with

So my entire post just got deleted....okay. All I did was include a link to my photos via Google. So, here it goes again:

Ordered for pickup, was ready earlier today. Ran over to Lowes to take a look at it and it was just dirty. Guy said he assembled it yesterday. Batteries were all there, new in box, along with the (huge) charger. I decided to just pick it up, so I ran over to HD, rented a truck, bought aluminum ramps at Lowes. They loaded it onto the flatbed with a hydraulic lift. Make sure they put it in the truck facing backwards with the front pointed towards the back.

I'm 150 lbs and was able to lower it from the truck via the ramps I bought. Was a steep angle, but managed to do it by myself. Just be really careful as it's like 450 lbs. I held the brake with my right hand while lowering it from the truck. Was easy, actually.

Returned the truck inside of 60 minutes, cost $22. I wanted to do all this tonight since there is no traffic...no way would I want to do this on a Saturday.

In all, tax, 3-yr Lowes warranty, truck rental, ramp purchase ($169) I'm in about $2600 out the door. Crazy deal, thank you OP!

Time to cancel my yard crew lol. Will pay for itself in 1-2 summers. Batteries brand new, registered all 4, mower, charger, without issue, 5-yr warranty in tow. Letting the batteries warm up inside before I go charge them in the garage.

Super deal if you are comfortable with a little risk. Now time to cancel my other order for delivery (I hedged my bet).

My experience today:

I ordered one for pickup, and my experience was not that good. As per the manager, the mower was sitting outside for four years. He told me that it was new, but the weather did the part that damaged the color. I checked the item's serial numbers; 3 gave me 2 bars, and one battery just blinked rapidly red. I told the manager I would test the battery, but I may need to return the mower because of the condition and the bad battery. He told me they usually allow 48 hours to return it, but he would accept 30 days. Not sure if that's true. Also, the handles to move the mowers feel rusty and stiff to move.

Tell you what happens tomorrow.

Yikes 4 year old batteries and stored outside might as well be buying a used mower.

I mean, just register them. Covered until Jan 2030. I'm not worried at all.

Display models are the cream of the crop. Usually downhill from there.
