Why would you thumb down a deal that clearly says YMMV? Such behavior discourages others from posting items that may be available for some and not for others. Unless of course, you feel $1,999 isn't a good price for a $5,499 item, for those that can find it.

Bought 5 of them for my business all 5 broken with 6 months and no repair shop local that works on them which a waste of money I ended up buying Toro z turn replacements that have good customer service

It's slick cause of the price compared to what it normally sells for, not because of how it compares in your mind to another product

Mine arrived a week ago last MondayBatteries were at 10%Charged up to 100% in 2 hours and held at 100% even in this 15 degree weather. When mine arrived one of the b to ack rubber on the handles was damaged a little and very minor dent in a fender. Called up Lowes customer service and they offered 10% for damage.Told them I would like a little more. So they said they would expedite and have store mgr. call me....in 30 minutes mgr called me and we worked deal $1650 was my new price....$1800 out the door.
My mower was delivered this morning. I got lucky. My 4 batteries were all new in box (manufactured March 2021, same serial number followed by A,B,C, and D), they all showed two lights and all charged fully in a few hours. I took the mower for a spin and it all seems to be in order. I paid $1800 due to the rubber on one of the handles being damaged and believe that the batteries alone would have cost me more. We'll see how this deal holds up over time, but for now, I'm thrilled. Thanks OP

I picked mine up today. Do to delays and not being ready on time, as well, as the batteries coming from the display model, he took $330 off the price, to cover any warranty issues and my time. Mine looks new, it was stored in covered area. The batteries are 2021. I'm getting extended warranty, so the date on the batteries don't really matter to me.

The one thing to think about with this mower is charging. The charger plugs into the mower. It's like a car where the mower has to be accessible to an outlet. If you normally store you mower in a storage building with no electricity, that will be a pain. I have other chargers, including the bigger unit, so I'm good.

I got really lucky. Mine delivered today. Battery arrived with red blinking on the last bar; and with all sequential serial. The charger and box was all in almost new condition. The mower had some dust, but was in great condition with all the stickers and marketing material. I charged it up and took it for a round and all seems fine. I was able to register it fine too.

Is anyone seeing this as available ANYWHERE through the Lowe's app (website says it can no longer be purchased through the website)? Or at this point is visiting/calling individual stores the only way to check availability?

My Lowe's had one with no batteries. Offered to discount to $1500. Anyone know of any in the Pennsylvania/Delaware/ Maryland tristate area?
u call around and ask with the item number or ask employees in the store to do a nearby availability check there should be 1 somewhere on the website if it shows out of stock most likely there's only 1 everywhere in ur area. The one in my area was 1000$ no batteries some guy ordered online for $2000 and he took it for 1000$ no batteries charger but I spoke to the manager the same night and he cut me a deal for 400$ and $430 w tax was able to get it with a charger looks very good powers up I got my own batteries I'm happy I'm sure no one can get a deal like that Wink

Ego 3rd party batteries. 10ah for $200ish on Amazon. There's a guy on YouTube that tests them and they work great. Ruzixt brand. I have on my cart to remember it in case I need more batteries.
All of the aftermarket ones use trash cells on the inside and not original 18650 Samsung cells also none of the fakes work on a nexus power station 2000w there is no bms communication between the tools so the battery will drain if u use it and don't charge it up and wait till the last moment till ur tool dies will be undervolted and will not charge again. On regular ego batteries u get a flashing red to stop using ur tool to prevent over discharge much better batteries. The fakes wont last a year without being dead. Even the original ego batteries come broken w some of these units if they were not charged for 2-3 years all 8 of mine showed voltages of 53v 20v 48v none charged. There's a way to fix this though but taking them apart and using a bench power supply.

My Lowes still has a bunch (5) of these mowers but no batteries and I was told instead of selling them they are sending the mowers back to EGO . I cant seem to make a deal with Lowes managers as they say the $1999 price is because there is no batteries.

My mower was delivered today, and while the mower itself looked ok, they tried to give me three 5AH batteries and one 2.5AH battery. The batteries were in a plastic storage bin, and looked like they just found 4 ego batteries laying around, and hoped I wouldn't notice the difference. The delivery was refused, and Lowe's CS says they will send out a replacement next week. I'm sure they'll end up cancelling it.

I don't know why they are saying that. When you could still see this listed on the app or online, it clearly showed that they came with 4x10ah batteries and a charger.

The Lowes crew say 20 batteries were stolen (!!?!!) and they have looked for them. I wonder if the mowers that are still in the metal cage covered in plastic shipping containers have the batteries installed in the mowers and not in a separate box ?

Anyone who got a mower shipped un-installed did you find the batteries in the mower or in a cardboard box? TIA

Cant see how Lowes expects EGO to accept these mowers back after Lowes let the batteries disappear

There's a year update. The batteries still work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5...tyToolShed They are the cheaper option and probably won't last the 5 yrs that the original batteries will but they are less than half the cost.
We DO have 5 yrs to find promotions. If the batteries go bad within the 5 years, you get a free replacement. There's no scenario that we truly lose unless you accept the lawnmower without proper inspection.

my mower was already assembled, however the Lowes guy said they are not allowed to transport/deliver batteries. So even though they delivered the mower (free within 75 miles!) they gave me the batteries which were all boxed as a set, to take home when I purchased the mower. The mower was delivered a couple days later, I threw the batteries in and was off and running.

FYI, the batteries aren't really covered by the "Lowes Protection Plan". They are considered a "Keep it running" or "Performance Part". If they are bad, you get 50% discount upto $100 per year. Considering the batteries cost $500, not sure the protection plan is worth it.
