The CPU i5 1235U was released 2 years ago. Intel's new naming scheme for processors is "Core Ultra"
Post any "Core Ultra" around $300 with about same config?
Also the Dell $250 laptop below atm is very enticing...
Wonder is Xe graphics matter over UHD graphics or its just a naming scheme (Some people say its the same igpu performance, just the dual channel performance gains).
Quite a decent deal, and having at least one RAM slot to which one can add a 16 gig stick is a pretty great solution. 16 gig just isn't enough ram nowadays, especially with the iGPU also taking a slice from it.

The Xe is a bit bettter than prevouis UHD but it is still nowhere near as good as even very low end discrete.

Search bar-1i and you'll have 3 examples of the stated price from within 5 months
I did already before asking. Seems like it has been that price twice for a short period of time. For one of those two times two posts exist for the same sale. That does not make it a normal price

Feels like Amazon that keeps going up and down normally.

Then I caught SD full deleting another $250 thread, but they were adamant that they don't do that.

For a brand new laptop with Core i5-1235U, this $300 Asus is likely the cheapest one available so far. But only 256GB SSD and non-touch display (also probably TN)

A Core i3-1215U laptop could be as low as ~$200 indeed (8GB/128GB/TN)
