i bought and returned the 43 inch twice as a result of just this. the rtings definitely doesn't apply to it, the black smearing/ghosting was very bad with any dark object movement. the 50 inch doesn't seem to have the same issue or at least not enough to notice for me. the 50 inch was 199$ with a 25$ gift card a week or so ago, so that would be a better deal to wait for and see if it comes back. if anyone insists on buying the 43, the other thing i know is the brightness is lower on the 43 as compared to the larger sizes, plus the speakers are worse, but the black smear/ghosting issue is the big issue in my experience. the menu features are the same as far as ive been able to see so i think the comments on the rtings section are out of date on part fwiw.
