This is a great deal if you just want to try out golf for a season. At least near me this will undercut used clubs of any quality and the price is about equivalent of 4 times renting clubs. The bag being a stand bag is a good bonus too

Picked these up after returning the Top Flight clubs for $200 since I didn't use them but kept looking for used clubs cheaper and didn't know how to buy used clubs. They either seemed old and worn out looking or were more than I wanted to spend on something used knowing I could get a new beginner set for < $200.

So to the sincere questions, what does someone look for when shopping for used clubs and how would a better brand / set of clubs help a beginner?
