I have a Costco flashlight that's 5,000 lm
800 lumens is what you get from a typical 60W incandescent or LED equivalent standard bulb.

You are lighting a room or a small area, not the neighborhood

I really like smart bulbs but I usually buy them on prime day for 99 cents a piece, Even 5 for $20 seems high

This is cheap because it is Alexa only. Most other brands support Alexa, Google and sometimes Homekit. Since I have both Google and Alexa assistants in my home, I'll stick with other brands.

If you really believe the costco flashlight is pushing out a usable 5000 lumens then I have a bridge to sell you...

Good catch. Being locked to alexa is no bueno even if you use alexa. If you ever need to switch these bulbs are pretty much useless unless you leave it on one mode.

Can 5 bulbs be installed in one fixture (e.g. ceiling fan w/ 5 light bulbs) and all bulbs be made to follow a single Alexa instruction?

Yes. You make them be a group.

For alexa only bulb this is expensive. No more than price of regular led is what i would pay as they can get the data on my usage for free
