This is a fantastic deal. Rogue Echo bumpers (what I have) are four times this price, and I doubt they're much more accurate (+/- 1% for Rogue).

You'll see some folks complain that cheaper plates are thicker - and this is true. The BalanceForm 25s are 1.93" thick, and the Rogue Echo 25s are 1.5" thick. In fact, the Rogue Echo 35's are the same thickness as the BalanceForm 25s. Until you are loading the bar to its ends, this doesn't matter.

Pick it up, put it down. Repeat until tired and sore. Do this multiple times per week for a few years. That's what important. As much as I like supporting Rogue, no one cares what your plates look like when you're jacked.

I think the sleeve length on certified bars is 35cm (~13.75") for men and 25cm (~9.8") for women, but you'd have to figure clamp width on them, too. So at 1.5" to 2" wide with about a 2" wide clamp, I'd guess 6-8 plates depending on how wide the plate is. But not every bar is certified, so yours may have longer sleeves or use narrower clips instead of clamps that allow for additional plates to fit.

Price is now $29.99 for 25's and $93.99 for 55's. Literally changed in front of my eyes while I was distracted from checking out šŸ˜­ congrats to all who got the earlier prices! The new price point is still solid for 25's though.

The colored ones are still $26.39. So better than the black ones at the moment.

Just got my 25 lb pair in and they actually ended up being green. I was happy since I ordered the 100 lb set too and had the green 25 lbs in there as well.

Why are these things so freaking big back in my day this 25 pound weight looks like a 45 pound weight not sure why they can't condense these damn things

They're made of recycled rubber pellets. They basically shred a car tire, dump it into a form with some adhesive and press it together to make the weight. Plus, being "bumper plates" they have to be bigger than iron plates to actually serve their purpose.
