Extreme YMMV it seems. OOS everywhere. Its weird the google search shows a price that lowes.com doesnt show. Also the google link changes the location to a lowes store in hillsboro, ohio (for me) and thats weird.

I don't know why all the thumbs down unless the post didn't originally say YMMV. I was able to get one after seeing the online price reflecting the expected price. In browsing Lowe's site, I may have seen the $99 price and thought nothing of it, but since it was here I did some research.

For comparison, Amazon sells this kit for $178. They also sell the powerhead by itself for $183.

So even though I don't necessarily need the edger, I bought it with the hopes of getting the string trimmer attachment for a similar price in the future.

This is my first time posting on Slickdeals, not sure how downvotes matter to be honest. I bought mine and just wanted to help others. Anyway, I hope if helps someone get a good deal. Will check out the stores for more clearance sale.

Well the power head coming with this is PH1400, which amazon is selling for $169, and $183 for a newer model PH1420. In any case getting power head and edger for $99 is a great deal!

I just busted this thing out to test it and make sure everything worked... And now I realize why they have carbon fiber versions of them... This thing is pretty heavy. Even the head by itself seems a little on the heavier side. Slap on a big battery and you're not going to be doing the job for very long unless you have a strap around your neck.
