Also, the poster is newish so might not know this, but "$ off" or "% off" posts aren't done here because they're not useful. It doesn't mean anything, and those offers are often deceptive.

At least one of the prices should be in the title and in the post. So it may be how the post was done, and the fact that it wasted a lot of peoples time, as much as this specific deal

I used deluxe with a home based business and also buying & selling stock.
TT Deluxe may tell you while entering info you should upgrade to Premier. Just ignore and proceed with Deluxe

This Costco offer for TurboTax Deluxe + State at $45 ($56-$11) is essentially the same as the Amazon offer in the link from last year but includes a $10 TurboTax credit (e.g. to e-file state taxes) instead of a $10 gift card.

How much you want to bet that Amazon posts its sale the day Costco's offer goes live.

I installed the desktop Deluxe version, it showed that I would be able to import investment information from major financial institutions. Deluxe version supports rental properties, although Deluxe version lacks guidance, that is not a big deal for me.

Plus the $10 credit which can be used if you have to file state taxes.

I don't know about home sales, but Premier is all you need for rental properties. I have rental properties and use Premier just fine.
Looks like Premier can handle the sale of a home.

Why turbo tax is more expensive than hrblock tax?
Cause that's what Intuit charges and people pay it

Deluxe can't do home sales or rental. Need to get home and business for those two. Not sure about crypto.
you're saying deluxe doesn't have access to the schedule D and Form 8949 for sale of property? that doesn't make any sense

Are the prices the same in store and on costco's website? Typical website is $5-$10 more to account for shipping, but since it is edelivery so that shouldn't apply. Sorry asking because I'm out of the country till feb-end

Do I need premiere if I am doing schedule d cap gains/losses? There seems to not be a lot of concrete information about what additional "help" the premiere version provides with this. Bottom line - am I leaving money on the table by going deluxe for schedule d and not having access to additional help from tt premiere?

I have a full time job and do Uber and made like $200 in stocks last year. Will deluxe + state be the choice for me?
Yes Deluxe is good if you need to file a state return and handles stock sales as well. It can handle 1099s, so I believe it works for rideshare drivers as well.

Sam's is also on board with this. Just las week I spent $82.99 on Premier at Sam's Club online. I haven't even activated it yet. I wonder if they'll give me the $18 difference.
