Also, the poster is newish so might not know this, but "$ off" or "% off" posts aren't done here because they're not useful. It doesn't mean anything, and those offers are often deceptive.

At least one of the prices should be in the title and in the post. So it may be how the post was done, and the fact that it wasted a lot of peoples time, as much as this specific deal

I used deluxe with a home based business and also buying & selling stock.
TT Deluxe may tell you while entering info you should upgrade to Premier. Just ignore and proceed with Deluxe

This Costco offer for TurboTax Deluxe + State at $45 ($56-$11) is essentially the same as the Amazon offer in the link from last year but includes a $10 TurboTax credit (e.g. to e-file state taxes) instead of a $10 gift card.

How much you want to bet that Amazon posts its sale the day Costco's offer goes live.

I'm having the same issue. Still waiting for the redemption code. Purchase about 3 hours ago. Already checked Junk folder.

Yup it sure does
Premier is much easier if you have rentals. Deluxe will work if you know what you're doing. I have used both and pay the extra for premier now. I think it may also depend on which State filing you are going.

I would think Home and Business for sure. It can get a little messy with depreciation recapture. That is the only time I used an accountant.

Can you please tell me how much it'd cost to upgrade to Premier if it later turns out I need it? TYIA.

I need to pay estimated tax before Jan 15, so I used a link from Fidelity Investment and purchased a premier version at Intuit for $78. Luckily, Amazon Prime Visa gave me $20 cash back so the price is about the same here. The missing $10 gift card / credit can be treated as the penalty for my last year taxes.

Are you able to show us the difference? Screenshots would be ideal. I didn't notice anything significant when I switched from premiere to deluxe.

Looks like I don't need to wait for the Amazon deal since I will be e-filing my state tax and able to use the $10 credit anyway from this deal.

Do you happen to know if that includes a state efile? I didn't see anything on their site about state vs federal at all.

Can someone recommend which version would be best to handle my tiny Etsy business?
I have been using Home and Business for years, but I read I could simply use Deluxe. The only things I write off are postage, and a few supplies.
Thank you in advance!

I'm guessing Costco digital delivery is either batch based or it's completely overwhelmed with fulfillment requests. +1 to Amazon deal for not having to wait, though I like being able to apply the credit to state e-file fees.

Pardon me for that I didn't go throught 16 pages so someone already answered. The same saying pops up every year: for trading stock, you have to buy the Premire, not Deluxe.

It's not true. The Deluxe works fine. I have been filing it for 3 years.
