Nice set but how do you remove the ratchet from the case? The ratchet is smooth all around and there is no place where you can place a finger to pull it out
I just put a small wrap of gorilla tape (or any duct tape would work) around the handle. Just leave a 1 inch flap stick out to allow grabbing and yanking from the case.

The ratchet and the 10mm socket alone is worth the $10🤪

I bought this set at 19.98, and just bought 2 more at this price! Its a no brainer.

I did have to return the first set as the ratchet was very notchy and sometimes the teeth inside would jam up, so be sure to test it out when you get it.

Keep one on the ATV, and now one in the camper, and one on the boat. Good all around set!

Unless this is a different version I picked this set up last year and it wasn't great at all quality wise. I get that it's just $10 but everything about the set was cheap. The socket material seemed thinner and the wrench was really wobbly with the extension added. This might be a good back up but don't expect it to last very long.
I bought 2 sets at $19.98 and ended up returning them both. The ratchet is nearly impossible to get out of the case, and the screwdriver handle isn't much easier. The ratchets in both of mine were very poor quality and they both would switch directions while in use. I know it's now only $10 ( I'm actually tempted to try my luck again) but I would set your expectations appropriately.

Yup, same thing with my ratchet that i previously noted. Check it out right away. My exchanged unit works fine, but first one was a notchy mess. For 10 bucks, you may wanna take another shot.

I don't have this yet, but I am ordering one for each car. Once I get them, I will put a piece of flexible plastic under the ratchet, like some devices have in their battery compartment. You could do the same thing with duct tape or electrical tape with the adhesive folded on itself.

The last thing you need when you are stuck on the side of the road is unreliable tools. This is a great deal for what it is, but not something you want to rely on in a pinch. Nothing to do with how much it costs, this is just not a reliable kit.
I'm not talking about replacing the muffler if it falls off. I'm talking dashboard parts, lights, hose clamps, etc. no, this isn't a Snap-On mechanics vault of tools. Just to get to cabin air filters and such, I'd hate to go dig out a huge toolset. For $10, it's nice to have on hand.

Is this the same set that was $20 leading up to Christmas?

The quality of the tools is fine and the hard case is nice and surprisingly compact, but the tools are super hard to remove. You basically have to pop out the molded holders and push the ratchet out from the back.

Other than that, really solid deal for $10. Worth it to keep in the trunk for unexpected fixes (or more like, friend's houses that don't have basic sockets and drivers). At this price, wouldn't be mad if I used it once and forgot it on the side of the road.

Yes, this is the same set. I did like the case, and how compact the set is. In addition to the difficulty in removing the ratchet handle, the ratchets themselves were basically junk. I would have been able to deal with the first issue, but not the second. Apparently, YMMV on the ratchet working properly.

10 bucks is a damn nice deal. You can also mod it to fit in a ICON set https://www.reddit.com/r/harborfr...t_set_and/

I bought it at $20 early in the month. I wonder if they do price match.

Went to Lowe's, found one and it rang up for $20, went to CS said they can't match the pickup price even though the associate pulled it out of their Pick up inventory. I ended ordering at another Lowe's for pickup.
