Since it's a BOGO type deal, it's not horrible.

But, the Samsung 6900 series is pretty bottom of the barrel when it comes to today's offerings. Probably a good deal for someone who is moving into a new home and needs a couple of spare tvs to fill out the rooms.

Not sure why this isn't getting more attention. Seems like a solid deal! I know it's not OLED or QLED, but it's a great price for two entry level TVs.

There's not a TV out there where you wouldn't need a soundbar, especially a budget TV. And the complaints about the OS I'll also never understand. A Roku stick is less than $20 and about as much of a requirement for any TV as much as a soundbar

60Hz... easy skip!
You mean a combined 118" of TV for $530 doesn't get you 4K/120Hz, VRR, pel incredible black levels, and 10,000 local dimming zones?!

NO OPTICAL OUTPUT
Can't hook up to receiver or sound bar!
Not recommended!
I was aware of this limitation which is a dealbreaker for me as well, but wondering if there is any optical to usb, or optical to hdmi dongle/adapter that we can use?

I disagree. Have the 65" hisense U7 and the speakers and built in sub are amazing in my 20x20 room after using the sound optimization between the TV and remote.

What modern receiver requires optical input vs HDMI?
I've got an older Marantz Dolby Digital receiver that has both optical and coaxial digital inputs. No HDMI. It's a higher end receiver that I'm not about to ditch in favor of just having an hdmi port while almost every other tv out there has an optical output.

bought an hisense from costco and it die in a little over a month. When I brought it back for return, there was another guy in front arguing with the store manager about the damn TV die in 5 months and Hisense customer service is shxt to deal with. I was glad mine die so quickly within the return window! To be clear, mine didn't really die, a very thin white vertical showed up after a month.
no problem here after 5 hisense in the past 5 years...
no issue with LG, TCL etc
only tv that died within 1 year ever was an Element 50" from 7 years ago

I have a TV with tizen and it's not a great os but if you like to tinker, there's some cool things on GitHub you can load onto it. Also supports Xbox game pass built right into it, which is kinda cool.
I much rather tinker with Googletv.. much more supported
for an os that is barebone yet very fuctional, i'd use Roku

Looks like they are out of stock. Best bet is to go to a store and see if they will give you a different model.

I was able to buy this TV this morning at 10:00am est. I did go to my local Best Buy and they had the 75" TV in stock but not the 43". they would not do anything and said it was as supplies last deal. I'm putting this in the garage/mancave to watch some TV while we are hanging out. They did have a display model with a demo on it and to my eye this looked pretty good at least good enough for a garage TV. The smaller TV will be used as a secondary tv for the golf sim. I assume the 43" isn't worth much over 150 even tho they show it as 220 on best buy website.

The 43 inch hasn't even shipped, it says it's being prepared. I'm debating on just cancelling the order all together, the reviews for the tv are not all that great
