Yes. Since it's Android. What you do is create a minor (<13 yrs old) Google account. Then add that account to your Google Family. Then login to that account when setting up this phone. From there you can manage screentime length and schedules, plus block or allow different apps. As long as you stick with Google Chrome as the only browser on the phone you can set what websites are allowed and the maturity level of search results. Some other Google apps also allow you to set maturity level allowed.

It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.

I've done the following several times without issue. Usually the chat portion is completed within 30 minutes. You won't have to do much more than provide validation that you're in possession of both phones (they'll send a text to each phone at points during the chat) and keep the conversation open (basically respond after each time they chat to you even if it's just "ok" to their "please continue to hold").

1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

Hello, I'd like to move the data, minutes, text, and remaining days FROM my line TO my line .

currently has ### minutes, ### messages, #.# GB data, ### days left which I'd like added to my line which currently has ### minutes, #### messages, #.# GB data, ## days left.

My account email address is:

The end result should be minutes, messages, GB data, days left.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Crazy8

OP here! DO NOT SWAP SIMs! There have been many reports of Tracfone disabling the service after SIM swaps. Just because it works now or it worked for someone else, it is NOT guaranteed that it will work in a few months or work for you! Do a proper transfer of service to a different phone

i did full payment, even tried paypal and 2 different credit cards and still got them cancelled
must be something to do with my address

i bought a phone or two from qvc to this address like a year ago.
Did you try to use first time coupon? That's usually why they cancel orders - they're very good at catching those that have ordered before.

Emphatically agree - unless you can afford to lose service do not swap sims.
Sims are registered to each phone IMEI & swapping can cause issues with the system. It might work for a while but it's not worth the trouble it can cause.

That explains it. It's documented in every recent thread on SD for these inexpensive TF deals that they've cracked down on people trying to use first time coupons, not sure if anyone has determined the best way to get around it yet.

There is aot of talk about NOT swapping SIM cards.
Is that only for the preloaded SIM cards though? If you were to transfer the preloaded SIM to a BYOD SIM ($4 card) can you then swap in-between different unlocked phones as you get them?

Nope. Again - sims are registered to phone IMEI and TF Verizon does not like sim swapping.
You can reactivate a BYOP phone that was previously used but that often requires a new BYOP sim (at least that's been my experience).

Thanks never knew that about the BYOP sims. So their sims are one and done per phone. Guess I'll order a few to keep on hand. Thanks.

Sometimes you can reactivate one but I always keep extras on hand just in case. And check around before buying because some websites are charging $5 & others are $1 - stock up if you think you might need some in the future.

I've been at this for 7 years (I use about 100-150 phones a year) and not once has this happened. Maybe it's because I'm still using tracfone branded phones when I switch? (it even switches the IMEI in my tracfone account when I put the sim in a different phone).

And I've been a TF user longer than that - and while it hasn't happened to me (because I'm careful) others have reported issues- it's not worth the trouble trying to argue with support - especially for new users.
Best to do things the right way, especially when you might need to depend on service.

Curious, why would anyone need to use "100-150 phones per year"? I've bought & unlocked/sold lots of phones over the years but that seems unreasonable.

My business (not that it's any of yours). The reason I do swaps is because on average about 5-10% of the phones sim card reader is broken when I get them.

Like I said, maybe it's because I'm still using a tracfone branded phone.

Agree TF sims can be reactivated - the question was about BYOP sims.
Surprised that you get so many branded TF that have problematic sim readers, doesn't seem to be a common issue for most users. None of the ones I've bought from HSN/QVC or TF/ST/TW over the last 10 years have ever had a sim issue.
