It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.
1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

edited to add: okay, as someone pointed out, the layout of the order summary was confusing my brain into mathing wrong. My bad. 😅
Can one leave Phone #1 with service for 61 days, use the Referral points, then transfer the line and balance to Phone #2?

This is my experience, I activated 1st phone, and no need to text UNLOCK to 611611, this is not an essential step, just an infomational purpose, immediately after activation, start 2nd phone activation by transfer 1st phone line into 2nd phone, and you get 2 years of service in 2nd phone, then wait for 60 days, both of your phones will be unlocked.
