How do I get this if I'm not a google FI user?
Previously some saw this "existing user" upfront discount offers 21 days after opening the account. In a recent thread https://slickdeals.net/f/18046998-s24-ultra-unlocked-l-google-fi-existing-customers-120-days-of-service-required-info-on-s25-ultra-preorder-599 some saw the discount 48 hours after opening but I believe they did not click on it to see if they are actually eligible. So if you are planning to get S25U you can do a gamble for $25 or so by opening an account now (use referral code for $60 credit) and see if you are able to order by the end of the preorder period. Note that even after the preorder period ends FI will still have a discount albeit $50 less o it might still end up being a good discount.

How do you avoid paying for service that you don't really need for an extended period? There was talk about some magic 21 day referral period. You are essentially referring yourself? Does this lead to any problems down the road?

And here I was proud of my suspended account strategy for the past year to grab a s24 ultra for $650 off and sell last year's model for $850 for a cash neutral upgrade. Would have been even slicker to have gotten paid to upgrade my phone .... always trying to get better Stick Out Tongue, appreciate your guidance!
I don't think we know what triggers the $750 off for sure so pausing and resuming is the best if you are not using FI actively.

I totally agree with you, we do not know what triggers $750 discount.


But I have 3 (2 for my parents and one Slickdeal person) referrals and all got triggered in 24-36 hours after doing my trick.

So the original deal you placed for cancelation did not have any discount 650 or 750 correct?

yes, I placed the order as soon as I created the new accounts without any discounts.

I don't believe your referrals are active - My thought is that when you canceled the initial order, it voided your referral credits?

FWIW, I have the $750 offer on my account. But I have an active countdown to receive my referral credit.
I purchased the S25U at regular price (because the $750 wouldn't apply, since I have the referral countdown), and then cancelled the purchase.
Despite doing that, I'm still showing that the $750 discount is not applying when I assign the device to myself...
I'll wait another 24 hours just in case, but I doubt this is having any material impact on the process...

Still have not seen any reliable evidence to contradict the theory that if a Google Fi member has a countdown to receive their referral credit, that they can take advantage of any other offer.

Referral credit countdown for opening the account new line my referrals did not cancel the phone line. They placed the order for the phone and canceled and then once again placed it with a discount.

Brand new account with new emails. after 4 months will include them in the account right now they are on a flexible plan it's not going to hurt them or me.

Interesting, so they have two counters now?
One for the referral credit (<30 days), and one for the S25 order? (<120 days)

(for clarity, I'm asking about your parents' account, since the S25 order was on their acc)
