Just use random number with same number of digits as IMEI number
I don't know but I'm guessing the numbers correspond with the model of phone and options. That's alright. Thanks for the idea!

I had issues with Spectrum Samsung phones, after a struggle to unlock it. When using them on Verizon, my esim won't work. I don't think Spectrum-brand Samsung phones are compatible with Verizon. I have a Fold5 and S23 Ultra that I can't activate the esim on Verizon.Verizon blamed Spectrum, Spectrum said they unlocked everything on their end, and Samsung said there's no issue with their phones. Multiple cases over a year have gotten no resolution.
Last year when I got my S24 U from Spectrum using eSIM. I requested unlock. Just last week, I use it in Infimobile (Verizon network) by physical SIM.

So first of all, I'd recommend doing this in store when the phone is out. You'd do trade in on the spot then, with total price out of pocket being 799 minus trade in value shown plus activation fee and taxes. You'll need to add a line for Spectrum mobile and that's around 20 bucks a month. You need to keep it for two months IIRC so you can unlock the phone if you want to go that route. That's basically it

If on the other hand you do the pre-order today, you'll get the phone in the mail and will have to mail in your trade in. Which is a hassle and fraught with problems historically. So maybe don't go that route. Also will have to cough up 800 and then be refunded that whole amount upon trade in as a credit to your account

You can then request the credit on your account to go back to your card

In either case, you're not financing, period. And you're going with cheapest plan. It's really fast and straightforward in store. I walked out with s24 last year with maybe 80 bucks spent.
Thank you for the reply... Why it so cheap dude? What's the catch?

Also, my spectrum has the Internet account, so is he needed to be with me in the store compulsorily or If I can get the spectrum Internet account details , will that be enough?

It says…Cancellation of mobile line before device is paid off will result in forfeiture of remaining promotional credits. It's on the linked page in the details.AKA, only do this deal if you are ready for 36 months of Spectrum Mobile.
So you pay off the device up front AKA you'll only need to keep service for the 60 day unlock period.

JUST A THOUGHT NOT TO MAKE YOU FEAR GUYS...

So, it sounds like they're breaking it down like this – since they're showing the $700 promo value separately, and then say the phone's worth, like, $50 or whatever and promotional value gets spread out over 36 months on your bill.

So, here's how I think it works… Using my example, they'd knock off that $50 from the phone's total price right away. But to actually get the full benefit of the promo of $700, you gotta stick with them for 36 months.
If
you bail early, you miss out on the promo
or
exit with the $50 (or whatever the value is for your phone).

Otherwise, they'd basically be doing some charity work, right?

if I have a note 10 to trade in and its value at 719$ and I am planning to get the s25 plus would it be better if i go in person or do the online trade? I plan to do the finance since i don't have the money upfront.

I'm just afraid that by the time Feb 7th arrives, the value of the note 10 trade-in will be much lower.

i do plan on keeping the line as well

Have a bad feeling Spectrum will not give the trade in amount in full and will only give out in bill credits. I imagine they saw a ton of people who immediately canceled after unlocking in last year's deal. The change in the fine print is concerning.

Safest way seems to be doing it in store.

Just to clarify, so do I need to open the cheapest phone line and the cheapest internet line, keep both for two months, and then request an unlock?

Let say the phone line costs $20, the internet line costs $30, making it $50 per month, and a total of $100 for two months. After that, I speak to customer service to request the unlock?
