The problem is these companies use Data collection companies, so they may be able to pull up your SS# just by knowing your name.
One time I asked a friend at the Bank to help me pull a report for a client to see if they had any Liens attached to their name. The report included their name, address, DOB, household members, the first 5 of their SS#, and even names of their neighbors. That was many years ago. I bet it has much more info on you nowadays.
Appreciate that. Banks have access for sure. My point is that some companies ask for it when they don't need it so why should I give it to them?
Once it it is in their system it can not be erased.
On a recent spectrum call, they asked to verify my id without the ssn and by the time they transferred me to a rep, whoever answered the phone first had changed my service. Luckily the person I was on the phone with was able to change it back. Other threads talk about how employees have stolen credit from accounts.
Respect people who give it as they should respect me for not wanting to.

how often are you guys doing the trade ins and upgrade on lines?
I added 2 lines with S25s Monday
Added another line with S25 the next day
waited 2 days and upgraded one S25 to Ultra.

Not sure how often I should do this as I am wary of getting stuck with the fraud alert thing like I did during the S23 promotion. At that time, I was able to upgrade one S23 to S25 ultra and then had a fraud alert and didn't seem like I could do any more upgrades.

Since I can't find it in this topic and no one answered me the last time. I need this answered before I try again. Can we get the phone unlocked that we just got a week ago if we paid cash, after 60 days if we did a upgrade on the account to get another phone as well but that first phone is not on the account again?

Account Credit
Is the credit showing in your account? If so, did it show up the same day you completed the transaction? Or after how many days from the transaction date?

i have one free line on Spectrum..
Visit1 to store : i traded my old phone(S20FE) and got S25 base version waited for couple days. Visted the store again two days back
Visit2: Now i traded S25 and got S25+ everything went well without any issue.. I am using Physical SIM instead of esim..
Now i am planning to switch the SIM from S25+ to another old phone(S21) .. Can i trade the old phone to get one more s25(base version) on the same line ?.. .It will be third upgrade on the same line . or it will block me ?. Anyone have suggestions?..

Is there a way to remove the spectrum branding on startup without the phone being unlocked?

So let me make sure I understand what you're asking:

Trade in "old phone 1" for "s25 1" and pay off.
Trade in "old phone 2" for "s25 2" and pay off.

Wait 61 days and unlock. Cancel all lines once unlocked.

So one phone line but have 2 s25s.

If I have that correct, I've heard it was possible. Haven't tried it myself but would like to

Did you have to have the spectrum physical SIM inside the s25 when you upgraded to the S25+ in store? What did you tell them as to why you're trading in the S25?

Does the spectrum physical SIM need to be working inside the S21 to upgrade?

What is the cost of trading iPhone 13 to 512 GB S25 Ultra?
Trade in iPhone 13 for S25, use the $1113 for 512 GB S25 1419 = net pay is $306

Is that right?

Sounds like many of you are taking this a different route but I'll share my experience. Traded in 4 older samsung phones for S25+ in store, paid up front, got the discount taken off when I paid. Previously had the lowest tier Verizon service and have had no issues switching to their $30/month plan.

So every time you trade in a phone, you need to have your current spectrum SIM inside that phone? So they just pop it into the new S25?

When you traded the s25 for the s25+, what did you tell them why you're trading it in?

you may have to request them to keep Physical SIM ..by default they will try to enable esim..

for S25 to S25+ you just need to say to upgrade for bigger screen size ..
