Is it like 2 upgrades on a line and you get hit with account block?

How many lines are you using for trades?
Opening new lines for trades seems to help with blocking. Spectrum does keep records of prior line history even after porting out.
I do two trades on each line each year since S23 on spectrum. 4 lines first two cycles and 2 new lines this year. All on the same account. Never been blocked.

this cycle, 1 free, 3 paid $20 lines I really wanted two s25 ultras

Can I upgrade on an existing line and once activated, move the eSim back to old phone and not compromise the deal?

Are the moto G play 2023s locked to tracfone? Does it matter if it is for the trade in?
No idea, and no it doesn't matter. They scan the phone, enter the trade value, toss it aside.

you paid the phone in full. It's your property. No one care what you do with it.

I had previously traded in for an S25 in my line. Flipped esim over to my S24 and went back to the store. When they went to do the upgrade, it showed them that I was upgrading an S25 (even though active phone on line was an S24) so agent looked in to my prior orders and questioned me. Strangely they were suddenly out of S25s. So I ordered online instead (was trying to avoid mail in trade).
I second this. It happened with me last year where they told me that I already had a S24 in my account even though I had switched esim to an iPhone a couple of days earlier.

You can absolutely do this. In fact I asked this exact question when I traded in my pixel for S25 at the store. The store rep said 'yes' since the phone is fully paid.

However, the only part I'm not sure is about unlocking the S25 after 60 days (If eSim is moved to a different phone).

Based on Zip code the tax will be on the full price of the phone or the net. I'm in OH and I have to pay taxes on the full price of the phone.
paying tax for both the free trade in then the upgrade might make this a deal breaker. How much did you end up paying? CA here and it's expensive.

I paid $333 for two S25s. Including activation fee and taxes. My trade in was for $705.
I'm debating if I should go to Ultra or not

With the QVC tract phone or anything else like it, does it need to be activated on a carrier before trading in or am I good with just turning it on and doing an update?

For those who got 2 or 3 phones in 1 line, can those be unlocked even with 1 line?

This question has been asked in every year's spectrum trade ins...
The answer is yes when you move the sim to the one you want to unlock.
But some have reported that some online agent eoukd say the 2nd, or 3rd phone on the same line does meet the after 60 days unlock policy.
So can only try and see

How do you get more than 1 phone off of only 1 line of service?

GOT SCAMMED BY SPECTRUM, HELP 😭
Sorry for the long story, but I would like to give the details what happened, so you guys can understand better. My story: I opened a mobile on February 11th. I traded in a Moto G Power 2024 phone for S25. Today I went to a Spectrum store and asked an associate if I can upgrade my S25 to S25 Ultra. The Associate who is a young lady told me that I might do an upgrade, but doing an exchange will be better instead. I said I just want to upgrade my S25 to S25 Ultra. She kept saying that doing exchange would be better and I save more money than upgrading. She did calculation to show me the difference I have to pay if I exchange to S25 Ultra. I said please let me know the difference between exchange and upgrading and I will decide if I want do it or not. Then she came in the back and brought a phone. Then she scanned the box and was about to open the box. I said "Hold on, please don't open it. Let me know how much I have to pay in full today if I want to upgrade. She said $266.50 and she said she give me some time to think about it. Then she went in the back. And then, you guys know what happened? I received an email saying that Order confirmation. The email said that I have an exchange transaction, from S25 to s25 Plus, include the $50 restocking fee. OMG!!! I never approved that transaction. I never approved that I want an EXCHANGE. I logged in to my bank account and saw that my card got charged $266.50. The associate charged my card without my consent. She just scammed me. And no one talked to me, I was waiting about 30 minutes. Then the store manager came to me and said she will be with me. The store manager asked me if that $266.50 I just made online, because the scammed associate told her that. I said no, that girl just charged me recently without asking me. Then I showed her my account statement. After seeing my account statement, the store manager said "what you want, you don't want exchange?" I said no, I don't want exchange, and why that associate charged my money without my consent. The store manager then called somebody and then she came back. She said so she just cancelled the exchange transaction from S25 to S25 Plus. In the meantime, I received an email saying that my original trade in which I did on February 11th was CANCELLED. I didn't know what happened. Then the store manager left and told me another associate will do my case. I asked the other associate why they cancelled my original trade in. She said she has no idea. I asked her if they cancelled my exchange transaction, she said yes, they cancelled already. I asked her " can you give the cancelation receipt", she said No, we cannot give you the receipt, but the money will go back to your card within 3-5 business days. But as I know, if you cancel anything, you will get the cancelation email. I left the store, called to Spectrum Customer Service to ask them to check if the exchange transaction was cancelled or not. The CSR told me that the transaction still there, but they cannot do anything, I need to go to the physical store to do that.
So now I don't have the S25 Plus and they still charged me. And they changed me without asking me, without my consent. They Scammed me.
Can you please tell me what shoud I do? Thank you.
