Just tradein Iphone 12 for S25, paid $11 out the door. The guy didn't even ask anything beside asking if I wanted protection plan. Will trade S25 for the S25 ultra in a few days.

That was easy. Was in and out within 10 minutes. No other customers beside me due to inclement weather. Traded in iPhone XR for $740 Credit. Used existing line that was on a $0 promo for 1 year. No activation Fee. Paid $135 OTD. In CA. Go Spectrum.

Did you simply ask to upgrade the existing line from s25 to s25 ultra? Did the store rep ask anything about why you were doing it? I went to a store and they said they couldn't do it due to the prior usage of promotion when I purchased s25.

Yeah wish I could. The store refused to do an upgrade for me because I need to have that phone on the line for 60 days. They can't do an upgrade before that. Completely refused to do anything. Seems my only option is to do mail order but I don't want to front the $800. So I am just giving up.

Yea my first trade in I did in store the rep opened a free line and traded my s21 to s25. Then next day I came in to a different store asked if they had ultra and when they said yes I said I wanted to do a trade in. They confirmed which line, I only have 1 and asked what phone I wanted to trade in. That's when I pulled out the s25 and said I wanted to trade this in. He didn't ask any questions luckily. Just went to the back to grab the color and rang up the transaction. I think it all just depends on the rep/store. I would just try again.

Did a mail in trade in and finally got the confirmation that my trade in is approved. Just wanted to provide data point. I shipped last Friday so it was pretty quick.

When did UPS drop it off? Tuesday or Wednesday? It usually takes them 2-3 days but I'm sure it's going to start getting busy soon.

My understanding is you activate each newest line with the SIM. The SIM stays in the newer phone, and only move it back to the 1st right before unlocking.
