Another data point here. Worth noting the sales tax in South Carolina only applies to the cost after trade-in.
Opened 3 new lines (1 free + 2 @$20) and purchased 3 S25s yesterday while trading in 2 QVC G Play 2023s and my Z Flip5. Paid out $272.58 on the 2 QVC trades and netted an $80 credit on the Flip5.
Went back to the same store/employee today and was able to upgrade 2 of the S25s to S25 plus netting $120 credits for each. On the 3rd phone we got blocked, so they put it through as a mail to home order where I'll have to mail in my trade. So we'll see how that goes.
Since I'm already going to have to mail a trade I figured why not go all in so I just did another order for an S25+ to S25 Ultra trade for 1 of the lines. Should be a final cost there of around $130.
The rep I talked to had never seen anybody do the multi trades before, but said they were probably gonna trade their S25+ in for an Ultra now that they know they can.

**Still wondering how long I should expect to wait for the in-store trades to post to the account in a way that I can request a credit back to my card, if anyone knows.

For online trades, has anyone tried paying with one card that earns extra points on cell phone purchases, then switching to a different card on file for the refund, so you can net some free credit card points? Going to try this with mine, but curious if anyone else has done this before.

anyone able to add new line and trade old (or new s25 from previous trade in) phone after getting blocked? Could the block only apply to existing lines? and adding another new line + trade in works?

S25 was activated at purchase. Feb7. Physical sim was removed before taking to ups store (per spectrum instructions). New ultra comes Feb 20 will install sim upon arrival. To start unlock clock.

try changing your payment card online, then ask for refund

Do you have any concerns that your phone will be deemed damaged or lost, and you will lose a bunch of money? That is an expensive phone to lose the value of.

Has anyone done multiple upgrades on their account and experience the "block" with the "upgrade anytime" Ultimate plus plan (this line specifically)? Just wondering if the "Ultimate Plus Plan" with "anytime upgrade" will help not get the upgrades blocked.
