Fyi, These tradein values seem to be going down. I just upgraded from 25 to 25 plus. I remember seeing the 25 trade in value at 1123 some change a few days back. Today it was 1088 when i did it at store.

they finally saw that folks where milking it! hahah.

nay, it usually happens after 1-2 weeks like the s23 and s24 cycle.

Can anyone confirm you won't have to pay tax on full amount during online trade in, if you didn't have to in-store?
Its YMMV I paid the full taxes on trade in store

So I did the trade in for S25 to S25+ online and it is my first time doing this deal.. Do you guys send the phone with box and the usb cable to Assurant or it is okay not to include those. And also, if you send the phone thru UPS/USPS/FedEX do you guys buy insurance to cover if it get lost during transit? TIA 😇

In store rep said couldn't trade in S25 to S25+ because it was locked. And showed me on her screen where it said something about being locked.

That sounded completely weird as otherwise no one would be able to trade these in. Thoughts?

I'm tempted, but if Spectrum Mobile is anything like my experiences with Spectrum Cable/Internet, I'm out.

It's not the actual product, which is fine...it's the billing and constant rate hikes.

They don't hike their mobile plan. If you are on the $30 or $40 plan, then that's all you have to pay. No additional tax or fees.

Getting "Server Error" when trying to do online upgrades and "add a new line" for the last couple days. Not sure why.
Getting the same. Let me know if you figure out the issue. I called customer support and even they don't know what's happening.

You don't have to use it. Just two months at latest prices by the gig plan at 20 bucks a month, then unlocked and you're free to go

Also, if you have spectrum cable already, you should qualify for one year free of mobile that you can use with this promo

There is SD thread about the free year

Great, I reset it with sim and entered past setup screen without setting up any accounts, then removed sim, and left it like that. But if they reset, it'll be an issue. Now I'm worried I won't get trade-in. Any success stories of online trade-in of moto g play without sim
FYI, last year I sent in two Straight Talk Moto G Play phones from Walmart. Both were denied, and I paid a $100 restocking fee. I did not reset the phones and left them on the home screen. I also left the SIM cards that came with the phones inside, but it seems Assurant's workers took them out and reset the phones. However, some people traded in successfully; I was just not one of the lucky ones. So, I personally will not take this risk again.

So why aren't people just trading in the phone with the sim card inside? It will just say no service right? It's not like you can reuse the sim card with another phone, Tracfone doesn't allow that, the sim card is paired with the phone and "shouldn't" be used with another phone

So I guess we need to reset the phone. After that, we can either leave the Sim card on the phone or take the Sim card out.

they lied and found excuse to not do it.... locked to a carrier does NOT matter at all

they only get 'rewarded' when you open a new line

I just came back from the store and she didn't even try upgrading the phone and told me that I have to do it online as s25 to s25+ is flagging as fraud in the system. I did try to upgrade my line and she said if I am willing to open a new line then I can do it in store, as someone else pointed that new line gets them commission so she didn't want to upgrade

Because the instructions said that removing the SIM card & SD card when sending it in. You can put an expired TracFone SIM card from any TracFone family MVNO like straight talk, etc, it will bypass the lock screen after the factory reset. It doesn't have to be the original sim card come with it. I can't leave the original sim card in there because that sim card still works for service.
