FYI, last year I sent in two Straight Talk Moto G Play phones from Walmart. Both were denied, and I paid a $100 restocking fee. I did not reset the phones and left them on the home screen. I also left the SIM cards that came with the phones inside, but it seems Assurant's workers took them out and reset the phones. However, some people traded in successfully; I was just not one of the lucky ones. So, I personally will not take this risk again.
I feel sorry for you, they shouldn't do that to you. Yeah, I read a lot of horrible complaints about Assurant at Reddit. A lot were denied to not power on and some were denied for not turning off Find My Phone in the settings. What the fark, I was confused.

I have added free line yesterday over the phone with customer service and upgraded the device to s25 in store. Today went to add second paid line, and trade in a device, rep mentioned can only ship the phone for my account, can't pick the phone even in stock. So I didn't bother to add additional line. She even showed the computer screen to me. Does this happened to anyone else? And what could be the problem?

I traded a Pixel 3a with a cracked screen and a Pixel 6 with a touchscreen that only worked with a mouse for two S25 base models in-store last week. I paid $135 and then traded in both S25s for S25+. No questions asked; they did the trades, and I walked out with essentially two free phones. I guess in Wisconsin, we only pay sales tax on the final amount, because it only showed $5 in sales tax.

Here are the instructions to prepare to ship and I find odd on "Turn off Find My iPhone or other activation lock". This feature will be turned on automatically after factory reset and a TracFone SIM card is needed after factory reset to bypass the activation lock screen for Moto G Play 2023 device. In other words Assurant can reject the trade-in Moto G Play 2023 device based on the instructions below, regardless of how you prepare it to ship out because it won't meet one of the requirements below.

Review and complete tasks outlined below:
• Transfer personal information to a different device
• Turn off Find My iPhone or other activation locks
• Remove SIM and memory cards
• Perform factory reset to delete
personal info from device

So I guess we need to reset the phone. After that, we can either leave the Sim card on the phone or take the Sim card out.
It still does not meet the requirements, but lI believe leave the sim card in there better than not. If there is no SIM card, Assurant cannot get into your Moto G Play after factory reset.

I have a question. You paid $100 fee because you returned your two S25 devices due to Assurant's rejection of your Moto G Play right?

Getting the same. Let me know if you figure out the issue. I called customer support and even they don't know what's happening.
Their system might be down. Just try again later.

Did several trades in store and the rep reset the moto g plays without the sim and said they were fine. One only had esim and he seemed fine with that as well. Handed it to him with the home screen on and he reset it, waited for the phone to reboot and said I was good to go. When I set up any phone, I don't allow location or any kind of tracking so don't know if that makes a difference. Just say no to everything they ask unless you can't move forward.

Yes, I have a life. I am not reading through 135 pages every time I have a quick question. Maybe you don't?
if I have question I can do a search. I don't like to ask question has been answered so many times.

There is a way to get past the no sim card screen and I would like to think assurant knows how. Broke the sim tool in the sim tray of a metro samsung tablet so couldn't put the sim in. Got the no sim page and thought I was stuck so I googled it and you touch the sides of the screen in a certain order and it worked no problem. Sort of like getting into the "secret" service menu of a TV.
