Went the UPS route. Was hesitant about UPS knowing exactly what to do but the one I went to ended up being right next to a T-Mobile store so the person helping me said they get phone trade ins all of the time. That reassured me a bit.
The person helping me went through the process of answering questions about the phone's condition before accepting it and printing me a receipt. I wonder if this preliminary step speeds up the process once it reaches Assurant. I certainly did not anticipate a 2 day turnaround on approval once the phone reached Assurant.
