I bought and returned the 211 piece set from an earlier deal. My main issue is that the markings are stamped in a light, shiny color and are seriously hard to read on the chrome. It's also clear that some of the sockets, primarily the larger ones, have come from different lines / manufacturers, and have worse finishing than the rest, e.g. speckled chroming & deep forging lines / ridges in the bore. All that said, it has really an amazing range of sizes with no skips, and you probably can't find a better price if you simply need a lot of sockets.

I bought this during the last sale. You'll be hard pressed to find another set with this count at a comparable price. However, quality is very poor on many of the sockets, and the light stamped numbering is extremely hard to read on the smaller sizes.
I called Kobalt, which was a headache to get someone, and attempted to get replacements on the worst ones. I was told that they don't send individual sockets and the entire set would have to be taken back to Lowe's for an exchange. Lowe's is also hit and miss with warranty exchanges, depending on the store.

I got this set (along with the 12 point and impact versions) just as a base set with no skips. At this price I think it's worth it, even if the warranty is too much of a hassle to deal with. If I damage any of them I will just buy replacements from a more reputable brand, but I haven't had any issues yet. The light markings are my biggest complaint, but my organizer is labeled so it hasn't been that big of a problem.

Agree on all counts. It's an astonishing number and type of sockets for a hundred bucks! This set overflows my toolbox!! Love the 6-point regular set and, especially, the impact set from 12/25/24 deal of the day. I think the impact set was particularly SLICK!
