This drive is perfect for PS5.
Take the PS5 question. If they just did a super brief search they would prob find that an SSD with dram is "faster" than dramless, and will be more durable, and then think they want or need that when in reality there will be close to 0 benefit for them. So more people buy SSD with dram than need it, so the manufacturers don't need to discount as much.
For example if you just Google it, Google's shite AI makes it seem like dram is necessary for nearly everything besides browsing the web and word processing basically.
This was semi-true years ago, but newer dramless drives have pretty similar performance to drives with dram, especially for gaming or general storage.
Not trying to educate you in particular, just others that might show up here wondering if they need it or not. Basically the prices for dram drives stay inflated due to more people buying than actually need them, some out of ignorance and others just due to "wanting the best".
I got this answer by googling the question "is dram important in an ssd for a ps5" and ignoring the AI assistant response. As this is probably the second most asked question her about SSDs, just behind "will this work in a ps5"
