Actually a very solid deal, I have 4 cameras going to 1 home base over the last 2 years with no issues. Just 2 tips for setup - a wireless connection to the router is next to impossible and when you inevitablyput it on wired, make sure you separate it from the other devices as these Chinese made devices have been reported to snoop around for internet traffic
I have three sets (six cameras, two bases) hooked up and my mom has 2 sets (four cameras, two bases) at her house. I've been running mine for two years now.
We run these in addition to a Ring Doorbell Plus.

These Laview cameras both work well and utterly SUCK at the same time:
In general, they work as advertised and catch movement at about the same success rate as the Ring. Recording locally is a huge plus and cloud services aren't required though they are available.
Coverage is good, the image is reasonably detailed and most of the cameras don't need night vision turned on to get a good image at night (though two of them do).
The wireless range is very good for my family. Both my mom and I are using TP Link Deco M9 mesh routers and we have very few connectivity issues, ever.
The micro SD will record a TON of footage and can overwrite older files itself when storage runs low.

That said, the major issue is the app which is atrocious. First off, it's slow to respond. If someone ran up to your porch, took a package and skedaddled, you have almost no hope of seeing them on the live view because it takes precious seconds to populate. On a good day the live view will load in about six or seven seconds from when you click the alert notification, both on Android and iPhone. On Ring, this is closer to 3 seconds.

Second, the app is currently broken on most of my Android devices, for all intents and purposes; most features are accessible but I can't get the all important device settings to load on my Samsung Galaxy 21 nor a OnePlus 7T. They do work on my wife's iPhone 16 and my old Amazon Fire Tablet so any time I want to change anything, I have to use one of those two.

Third, and this you will come to find is a big one, there is neither scheduling nor a snooze feature in the app. This means if you have a certain time of day that you frequent one of the camera zones and don't want it to record or trigger alerts, you have to navigate to the camera settings for each applicable camera and toggle the function individually. Mow your lawn every Saturday? You'll stand around manually turning off all the cameras for that zone and then when you're done, turn them all back on. You will forget. If the app doesn't like your phone, as in my case, you will have to remember to access another device to change things each time you have occasion to do so.

If you don't have any cameras these are an excellent entry system at this price. I paid $79 for each set and would've jumped at the chance to buy at this price. It is far and away better than nothing at all and sometimes it can really come in clutch.

However, the low price seems a little suspect and may spell the end of this product. Considering the company has all but abandoned the app years ago I guess it doesn't really matter at this point. Just keep in mind that how the app functions for you upon installation is unlikely to ever change so if it's glitchy or buggy, don't hold your breath waiting for an update. Just return it.
I'm using it. It's terrible. Sometimes it doesn't work. Can't read memory card.

If I do use a wired connection don't I still need to isolate it on the network so it cannot see all my other traffic?

Anyone know if these cameras can be setup for ONVIF and RTSP? I know you can on some of their cameras the company sent me a bin file for me to flash. Wondering if they have one for the N20 model.

I have a policy that blocks outbound Chinese connections so this looks like a good deal.

Sorry. I have a Firewall and I blocked all internet access coming to and from these LaView cameras. I'm still able to see the cameras through my WiFi. This is something I did on purpose.

When I had it on a wired connection originally i didn't isolate it, I did basic research and it seemed that's tougher to do vs being on the same WiFi network as other devices and seeing where that traffic might be going.

Do you have more info on how you established a policy that blocks specific outgoing data?
