Unless you get approved right away, you'll either get an email saying that your application has been rejected or that it would take up to 3 days for them to review your application. Just reply to that email with a copy of your driver's license, front and back.

The nice lady said that my application was automatically rejected by the system and no reason was given to me. She said that I will have to visit a branch if I want to open it. The closest branch is about 30 miles from my place, so I might do it for $388
But frankly, I'm hesitate to send my ID by responding to their rejection email. Good luck!!!

1) open the account under "unemployed" and just list out your place of employment in the section below, i was able to get approved automatcally
2) the linking of the bank account: i had to use the test trial deposit option since the login feature didn't work for me and for the trial deposits, once you see the deposits in your external account, go to "apply.bankofhope.com/resume" this will allow you to finish your application because the accat isn't fully opened yet
3) i chose exisiting account and logged in, which allowed me to enter my trial deposits.
4) The customer service agent told me once the trial deposits are verified, that allows bank of hope to pull from your external account (which is the $25 opening deposit). I've never had this done before where the bank pulls from my account vs me initiating the transfer. But she mentioned that pull takes around 1-3 biz days and once it's funded (where you see the $25 deposit), then you'll be able to add external accounts and do other stuff with it.
Honestly, once i get the bonus, i'd just close becuase there's not a close enough branch around me and the website/app is garbage.
