I just got an order delivered today that has dropped in price. I asked for an adjustment and they told me to kick rocks. Buy again and return they said. The box isn't even open. I'm done. Their eco-friendly front is nonsense.

The cognitive dissonance between people who want companies who make well-made clothes ethically with integrity who also want those clothes at fast fashion prices and want to haggle for price protection is astounding.

on what grounds? must be same size & color apparently, despite their page not stating that...even when they promise a price adjustment they typically don't follow through and refuse to provide any confirmation/reference number so you need to waste your time at least twice
we were told we could return the item and then buy it again at the new price, very sustainable of them...

I don't hate on folks who buy Patagonia -- we all have our things where if we're 100% honest about it we know we didn't reeeeally need to spend THAT much...but we come up with reasons 😅

That said, I always get a lil optimistic on these 50% off Patagonia sales only to find myself thinking, "Is that AFTER the 50% off?!" 😅 Still, I do have a couple of Better Sweaters that have been my go-to for 7+ years now.

But back to my EddieB, North Face and Kirklands I go!
