Honestly I'd say just save your money.

In your case I would say there's no point in putting more money into a dead end platform. It'd be better to save a bit to get something on AM5 so that means new CPU, Motherboard and Ram. You can then carry over your GPU for a while longer.

Feel free to watch the reviews but this isn't a very good product. But it is getting tempting for the current price. I went with a 5700x3d before stock dried up.

Will I notice any difference with this CPU? Currently using a 5500 CPU + 6900X GPU.

What so you recommend for 3k gaming? Should I wait for next gen?

5500 CPU is PCI-E 3.0 instead of 4.0 like this 5800XT so it depends on your other components, are they PCI-E 4.0? 6900XT, is that what you have? That's 4.0 for sure but what about your NVME m2.ssd? Does your MOBO support 3.0 or 4.0?nod

For gaming on am4 it's hard to beat the 5700x3d honestly. you can still get them on AliExpress from legitimate sellers for roughly 150-200 shipped

Any idea if the 5700X3D is out of production? Looks like it's OOS at most places I'd normally look (Amazon, Newegg, Best Buy, some MicroCenters). That was going to be my last stop on my AM4 X570 motherboard, upgrading from a 2700X.

It is out of production but you can still get it from overseas and sometimes eBay sellers have them as well. a lot of the eBay sellers just buy them in lots from AliExpress then resell them for a profit. I have ordered quite a few from both with no issues. just make sure you're going with a seller that's sold a lot of them.

That is a PCI 3.0 Motherboard. That being said it's like a 1%-3% loss from 3.0-4.0 on a 6900xt so it doesn't matter. If all you do is game the only upgrade for your current resolution and locked 75hz I would recommend is a 5600x cheaper and all you have to do is a bios update with your old cpu to use it. 5600x vs 5800xt for gaming isn't a huge difference tbh.

They are the top seller that most people buy this item from according to reddit and my personal experience. If you want more info I would advise looking on reddit as that seller has been talked about their before.

B450M is PCI-E 3.0 all around. I don't think upgrading to this CPU would provide any noticeable difference in my opinion.

Looking to upgrade my computer slowly and I want to start with the CPU. I am currently running a 5600x with a 3080. Any recommendation without breaking the bank?
